Billie Eugene Davis Biography --- Our Festival Honoree
Billie Eugene Davis was born July 18, 1928 in Huckabee, Texas. He worked for his father doing general farming work in Stephenville Texas, as well as other jobs as a youth. He is a proud Aggie. Billie was very active in all sports. He earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in June, 1949.
He joined the Army in 1950. He received an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces of the United States of America on October 17, 1960. He was an inspector for the Highway department for 38 years, and was an inspector for the City of Fort Worth for 8 years, and served in the National Guard in Arlington Texas.
Masonic Resume` Billie was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on July 12, 1962 at Arlington Masonic Lodge #438. Billie served as Worshipful Master of Harmony Lodge #592 in 1998-2000. In 2000, he also was appointed as District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District Number 64-D by then Grand Master W. Vernon Burke, Jr. Endowed member of Arlington Lodge 438 (1990) and Harmony 592 (1996). Member of Sweet Home Lodge 596 and Tranquility 2000. Joined Arlington Chapter 376, Arlington Council 314 and Arlington Commandery 107 on October 21, 1978. Received Super Excellent Master’s Degree in 1979.
York Rite Honors:
Member of St Timothy Conclave Red Cross of Constantine in 1988 and served as Puissant Sovereign in 2001.
Member of Trinity York Rite College #154 in 1992
Member of the Royal Order of Scotland on May 20, 2000.
Resident of the Texas Masonic Retirement Center, owned and operated by the Grand Royal Arch of Texas

BELL CHOIR CONCERT.
The TMRC Bell Choir performed their Patriotic Performance for friends, families and residents in July. The Choir
practices every week on the songs they plan for their next concert. Special Thanks to TMRC Daylight Chapter
#1145 OES for purchasing music for the Bell Choir. The next performance is scheduled for Labor Day. Everyone
is invited to attend the Concert Performance.

SHRINE CLUB DANCE.
Resident Paul Sawyer served as Host of the Shrine Club Big Band Dance held at TMRC. This was the First Annual Dance held by the
Shrine Club was open to residents and non-residents alike and it was a rousing success! The entertainment was provided by the
Sentimental Journey Band who performed an assortment of “Big Band” songs while friends and Residents visited, danced and had a great
time. Thanks to Resident Sawyer for his hard work and dedicated effort to make the Dance a success and enjoyed by all.
