Calendar• Tryouts: Monday, August 3rd through Friday, August 7th. You MUST HAVE

a valid physical, emergency care card, and other required paperwork (will try to keep you updated). – *If you cannot make the tryout dates, then it is possible to tryout at a later date,

but ONLY for the Varsity Team.• Practices: Will start the week directly after tryouts, and will be daily.

VT Hokie Volleyball Camp at Lee

• We are again holding a 3-day mini-camp by the Virginia Tech Volleyball team, to be hosted at Lee High School.

• Cost: $60/person/day = $180• 9am-4pm (12pm-1pm lunch

break)• Minimum of 18 athletes• Dates: July 21-23

Matches

• Typically 1-2 per week, usually alternating days. There are no matches on Fridays.– Freshmen – 5:00pm– JV – 6:00pm– Varsity – 7:15pm

• Dress-up for Away Matches, Teams usually stay to watch each other (1 Set), depending on buses, and Coach’s discretion.

• Home Matches, we expect Teams to stay as long as possible to watch each other.

Reminders

• School start time has changed (8:10am-2:55pm)• Scoring – All Team members will be responsible

for learning how to keep score (training provided)• For all home matches, Teams will be responsible

for scoring. It will work like this:• 2-3 Varsity Players will score for the Freshmen

Match• 2-3 Freshmen Players will score for the JV Match• 2-3 JV Players will score for Varsity Match
