USA Welcome to the 27 th International Fly Tying Symposium. This year we will move the symposium to the Marriott Hotel in Lancaster, PA. As you may have heard our previous location, The Garden State Exhibit Center, was sold and the sympo- sium was fortunate to be able to contract the beautiful ballroom at the Marriott. If you have attended the Fly Fishing Show that comes in March to Lancaster you know that this is a central location and a beautiful historic city. The Marriott is definitely a first class hotel for the symposium and The Fly Fish- ing Show. Our theme this year is “Born Again.” With a new Symposium location and dozens of tiers coming for the first time, our theme makes sense. New patterns will be born at the Symposium and many attendees are planning to join us for the first time. The best fly tiers in the country and several from overseas will share their patterns and techniques all weekend. Every fly tying material old and new will be on display and available for pur chase and the largest display of tying books, videos and DVD’s will be ready for you to review. Plan your day to also attend our great Seminars, the Featured Tier, the Author’s Booth to get your books signed, and the chance to pick the brains of over 100 tiers demonstrating and happy to teach you their special techniques. Don’t miss a chance to take one of our special morning limited classes. See the selection in the brochure or on our website. Register early before the classes are sold out. And as always, our Saturday evening banquet is fantastic, with surprises, lots of tying give-a-ways, and door prizes. Show at- tendees are welcome as tickets remain. Check early if you plan to attend. The Marriott Hotel has special lodging rates, so call: 717-239- 1600 and mention code FTI. Tell your friends or bring them along. You won’t be disap- pointed, maybe even “Born Again.” See you soon, Chuck Furimsky P.S. Don’t forget to pick up your discount parking coupon when you buy your Symposium ticket. You’ve followed them, now meet them, join the panel of your favorite bloggers as they discuss their blogs, topics of debate about our sport, answer your questions, and tell you the future plans for their blogs. Saturday at 3:00 in the seminar room MEET THE BLOGGERS Son Tao Walt Young Tim Cammisa Tim Flagler John Shaner Josh Miller CHUCK FURIMSKY IFFF FREE FLY TYING INSTRUCTION The International Federation of Fly Fishers will be giving free fly tying instruction at their booth location during the Symposium. Their members are great teachers and more importantly, patient teachers. So if you want to have a seat for face-to-face help with your tying, this is the place. It’s part of your admission price and they are happy to help you for free. Everyone is invited from youngsters to retirees. Look for them at the entrance of the Symposium. All the feathers and tools will be supplied. NEW DEMOS! NEW VENUE! The World’s Largest Show for Fly Tying! “BORN AGAIN”
