Why do we hold a Cattle Barons’ Ball?

To raise money for cancer related programs in our community: research, patient services, advocacy and educational programs for children, adults and health care professionals. Established in 1913, the American Cancer Society is the largest private source of cancer research funds in the United States, receiving no state or federal funding. Recipients of the American Cancer Society’s grants have included 47 Nobel Prize winners. Many procedures, tests, and facts have emerged from this research, such as PSA test, safe mammograms, bone marrow transplants, and more.

What is the American Cancer Society’s

Cattle Barons’ Ball?

The American Cancer Society’s Cattle Barons’ Ball is a “denim and diamonds” event that will host 500 guests for an evening of dining, dancing, great music, gaming, entertainment, auctions and other special attractions. It will be the biggest and best themed fundraising event of its kind benefitting the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society’s Cattle Barons’ Ball will involve Lake, Marion and Sumter Counties leading businesses and com-munity leaders. Your business will definitely want to be part of the fun times and participate along with other prominent leaders in the com-munity, to raise funds for cancer patients, edu-cation and research.

The Cattle Barons’ Ball blazed into Lake and Sumter Counties and left an incredible

brand on our community by raising over $83,000 in 2013. We invite you to be our

Cattle Barons’ Ball Presenting Sponsor and brand your own style in the area of

philanthropy (this level is exclusive to one company).

Partnership: Partnership with Lake, Sumter and Marion Counties’ number one non-profit

health agency to fight the number one health concern through the American Cancer Society’s

number one fundraising event in the community
