Academy 21Highlights
86% of Lake and Mendocino County students indicated that “they believe they will be better prepared for school as a result of the summer academy.”
The percentage of students able to correctly identify the definition of A-G courses increased from 34% (prior to academy) to 65% (after academy).
70% students had not visited a college campus prior to the academy. 100% visited at least one college campus by the end of the academy.
MDTP scores showed growth in the areas of equations, geometric measurements, and integers.

National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF)
• Mission: To bring various professions to life, empowering outstanding young people with confidence to make well-informed career choices.
• Programs in 8 cities throughout the US: law, medicine and national security
• NYLF scholars must demonstrate strong academic abilities, leadership, and an interest in the career field being studied
• UCSF gave 8 full-ride scholarships to Lake/Mendo students in 08-09
