It's a work that I did when I was busy with an intern in a fashion studio. For me, sometimes it seems too fancy to be true, I saw some celebrities passed though freely in our studio, and watched fashion shows with my colleagues that was totally different from my ordinary life. But, after a period of time, I realized that I didn't really enjoy this kind of life, and decided to follow the voice inside of myself, I think it's really like a childlike me still live in my mind who likes to hide under the table and observe others movements.

Let poems flow in the paintings

To imitate the form of modern poems, I ordered 7 wooden boards of different size and depth. Different from traditional methods, I painted images with thin oil-color so that some parts even show the original color underneath and wrote poems with pencils which are easy to erase. I like the balance between these two materials because when I use oil-color, it makes me feel too serious to express just anything, yet pencil is a more common tool used for doodling, therefore, I can still feel comfortable and retain some private feeling. Besides, I have an interest in the space at the sides of canvas which is commonly ignored by painters, so, in this case, I varied the proportions to develop this idea.

Candy box for the Spring Festival

Referring to the traditional Chinese paper-cut art, this candy box is decorated with a collage using paper painted with watercolor. These candy boxes are usually sold for one of the Chinese New Year's customs, where people are used to providing sweets for friends or relatives who visit them. Therefore, the symbol of good luck and traditions are very important main elements on the package.

Roselle's Story洛 神 花 蜜 餞 酸 酸 甜 甜 降 火 好 滋 味

The the secret of flavor

This work was produced for the eastern Taiwan's specialty package competition. I picked Roselle as my subject because it's an ordinary food in Taiwan. However, it isn't very commonly known that the part we usually use for making drinks is not the flower but the calyx. Besides, it also surprised me that Roselle is a typical farm produce of Taitung. To promote this special plant, I chose a naive girl as the main character, through some simple illustrations people will easily learn some new information.

花謝之後，花萼與子房，會逐漸長大。

成熟之後，將種子去除，即可做成蜜餞。

Original pineapple cake

Pineapple is a very representative fruit in Taiwan, with a deep relationship with rural life. However, nowadays people prefer to buy improved species that taste sweeter and less sour instead of the original species which used to be seen as too sour to eat alone and therefore became gradually downfallen. Fortunately, through the making new type of pineapple cakes, those old-fashioned pineapples eventually found their own way to survive, and provide an irreplaceable flavor that’s worthy of remembering.

The idea of producing this magazine is to rediscover normal things which we think we are familiar with and bring wonderful details of them back into people's view. Therefore, the hypothesis is to pick an ordinary subject and go deep into every aspect of it. In this initial issue, we chose "egg" as our theme. This involved an interview with a local farmer who has bred chickens that lay colorful eggs using organic methods; introducing an egg-shaped adult toy which sells very well and additionally reporting about a sex toy exhibition held in Taiwan's first university. Our purpose is to provide diverse content for readers and hope they'll pay more attention to their surroundings and have fun with this magazine.

Scenery on asymmetric faces

I am completely fascinated with irregular things and the female figure, to express my fascination, making a collage from ready-made leaflets was an interesting and challenging task for me. In other words, it's especially not easy to balance the position of blanks and colors by hand which is the key to creating a harmonious composition and reasonable outline, yet I really enjoyed the process of trying.

The exhibition's Chinese name comes from a phonetic pun of the novel "L'Étranger" which means a box of people. A brief introduction to explain the idea of "Boxful of Voyagers" is that this exhibition is not only installed within a cube, but also full of modern people's stories which have a common theme about chasing something to fill up the vacancy in their minds.

過 剩 與 匱 乏 台 灣 的 都 市 生 活 概 況

Drought or Overflow Taiwanese home, building or real estate?

This work is my entry in a competition held by the Taiwan design center for The International Design Alliance congress in Taipei. Through simple graphics and information in this work, I hope to create an easy way that remind the audience to think about long-term problems in Taiwan. Illegal structures are called "the tumor of the city" which means Taiwanese lawless behavior already seriously affects our landscape. However, there is also another group who suppose that illegal structures shouldn't only be seen as a negative phenomenon but as a special solution to lack of space and proper regulations.

In fact, no matter which viewpoint you agree with, ,the amount of illegal structures is still rising now. It's a phenomenon related to society, humanities, politics and ecology, and also a tough question to test our judgment.

New Choice for Bookworms

This logo has three different meanings, the first means to open a book and raise our eyes to the vast world; the second stands for a pair of wings used to fly in the sky; the third meaning represents vegetal[What do you mean by vegetal?] vitality which symbolize books as human culture’s treasury that will pass to the next generation and ensure continuous advancement. In addition, I chose cyan as the main color for NLPI to express its intellectual and sprightly atmosphere.
