LAICS ANNUAL SUMMIT 2013
Here you see the content of the day. Let me take you through it
step by step.
LOTTE DARSØ LAICS Programme Leader
The LAICS Annual Summit gives LAICS alumni, students, faculty and friends the opportunituy
to build new relations and synergies in our extended community by working co-creatively
on making a difference for society.
First Lotte Darsø.
REX DEGNEGAARD Summit Leader, Assistant Professor, CBS
Welcome everyone to this first LAICS Summit. This year we will be working with a Co-Creation challenge with the Dainsh Police. Co-Creation really means climbing over our fence and creating solutions not for but with the
many stakeholders of our organizations.
Then the summit leader.
STINE ARENSBACH Head of Strategic Visualisation, KPMG
Strategic Visualization is a great tool for creating engagement in multi-
stakeholder processes where the outcome is undefined and the ”what’s in it for me”
can be dificult to see.
Then Stine Arensbach.
And finally Peter Coughlan from IDEO who took us through his design thinking methods for
creating new solutions.
PETER COUGHLAN Partner, IDEO
Through design thinking processes, we will be exploring
how we can design new solutions with the Danish Police using
design and systems thinking.
CHECK IN The LAICS way
And then it was time for check in
Well, we have a lot of tough challenges and we need
actual solutions. Case owner Helle Kyndesen now gave us the challenges for the
day.
INTERVIEW: HELLE KYNDESEN Police Commisioner
THE KEY CHALLENGES
Which were burglaries and
organised crime
SHARE STORIES
And then we went to work. Peter asked us to
share stories that relate to the challenges.
SHARE STORIES
And analogue stories that build on the principles for co-creation
with the Danish Police.
BRAINSTORMING The IDEO way!
From the stories we were tuned in on the challenges and started brainstorming.
BRAINSTORMING The IDEO way!
Obeying these simple rules proved quite difficult when it came to staying on the topic.
BRAINSTORM
There was a concentrated and
intense atmosphere in the room…
And wild!
BRAINSTORM
IDEA STRETCHING
And then Peter asked us to really stretch our ideas
and helped us how to...
Using this template to help the process
IDEA STRETCHING
It was great fun but also challenging for us.
IDEA STRETCHING
BUILD TO THINK
And then it was time to protytype.
BUILD TO THINK
Or ”Build to think” which is actually
more precise.
BUILD TO THINK
Because your hands are smarter than your brain.
BUILD TO THINK
And prototyping is something LAICS’ters know
how to do!
PRESENTING SOLUTIONS For Police Commissioner Helle Kyndesen
Finally it was time to present the
prototypes.
PRESENTING SOLUTIONS PRESENTING SOLUTIONS For Police Commissioner Helle Kyndesen
Eight presentations in all.
REFLECTIONS
Rex and Helle had a conversation about what she took with her from this day. Helle expressed that the
recurrent theme for many of the presentations had been the local dimension which she would take with her.
The many apps were also something that stood out. Finally, this way of working was inspiring as a way for the
police to work on finding new approachesto their challenges.
CHECK OUT
And after Stine Arensbach had taken us through the visual summary of the day we checked
out.
The LAICS way, of course!
VISUAL TOOLS
All the visual tools were uniquely created for this day. You can download
