LADY GAGA

Lady Gaga was raised in Manhattan on the Upper West

Side. She did not have a wealthy family at all and had to work for every single thing she did. She didn’t fit in very well either, she believed that everyone thought

that she was a “freak”. As a child, she went to a private girl’s school and she was very academic. She

starred in many of her school plays and also found time to have

good grades, but singing was always number one. This is only

about half of her story and it already inspires people. Gaga

came from nothing and is probably one of the most moving

people of the world.

PAST

THE BEGINNING

In the beginning Lady Gaga was just like any other person in the world, except there was

one difference. She had an insane passion for music. She learnt how to play the piano at

the age of four and began playing open mic nights at the

age of fourteen. When she turned seventeen, Gaga was on of the twenty people who

gained early admission to New York University's Tish School of

the Arts.

Many people see Lady Gaga (other wise known

as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) as a crazy, outrageously dressed,

trendsetting woman, and that’s exactly what she is. At the age of 25, Gaga’s

taking the world by storm. Even though she may seem like she’s crazy, she’s helping many

foundations. Some of them are The National

Alliance to End Homelessness, Green

Chimneys, Oxfam, Stand Up to Cancer, Lupus

Foundation of America, Alzheimer’s Association

and MAC AIDS Fund.

CHARITY WORK

Little monstersGaga has inspired a whole new

generation to believe that they’re beautiful just the way they are. She’s let them know that it’s okay if you’re a little

different than others. It makes you unique. She’s crazy and she still manages to be one of the

most successful celebrities since Michael Jackson. She has so many fans that adore her for being who she is. Her little

monsters are extremely important to her because

they’re her fans. She values what she has, she leads

everyone in the right direction, and she doesn’t know who she is yet, but she is getting there.

AwardsIn 2010 she was nominated

for six Grammy Awards and received two. Both of her most famous singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” were claimed to be the

biggest critical hits from her album “Paparazzi”. Also in

2010 she was nominated for thirteen MTV Video Music Awards and received eight

awards. She has also received awards for her

charity work as well. I could list all of her awards, but the

list would go on and on.

TRENDSLady Gaga is known as trendsetter

because she’s always a couple steps ahead of everyone else. All of

the other celebrities are your typical pretty faces. Gaga’s beautiful as well, but she’s

beautiful in the weirdest way. From her exotic costumes to her

outrageous behavior, there’s no wonder she has so many devoted fans. She is considered to be the “princess of pop” and since the “king of pop” (Michael Jackson) passed away, she’s next in line. Bad tabloids, good tabloids, it honestly doesn’t matter. These things are the things that are

keeping her on top.

OUTFITS

INFLUENCESMany people have influenced

Lady Gaga to become what she is today. Some of them are Michael Jackson, Elton John,

David Bowie, Queen, and Madonna. They helped her with what she wanted to be and how

she could get there; by standing out. No one in the

industry is even comparable to how incredibly famous Lady

Gaga, except for the deceased. She wants to be like her idols and she is even better than

some of her idols were. She’s influencing people just like they did, but she’s making sure that

she does it right. She isn’t a cookie cutter celebrity; she’s

her own person.

LADY GAGAAll in all, Lady Gaga is probably the most influential woman out there

right now. She sets trends, doesn’t follow them. It’s a good thing. She helps charities and tells people to persevere. She also tells us not to

be ashamed of ourselves no matter how different we are. She’s a

genuine person and definitely not fake. Gaga shows a lot of leadership

and it’s evident in her fans.
