References and symbolsIn this screen shot the beats by dre laptop is being displayed to the audience as a marketing tactic referring to Dr Dre and Monster. This can be used to give an effect of fashionable trend because, Beats is the newest and up to date products for all young people.

At the end of the short film, there is a icon shown which symbolises the female sex. This is used to just show how the females are just as important than men.

In the video there is a reference to the ‘Pussy Wagon’ which is an iconic symbol from the movie ‘Kill Bill’. In the movie the female is most dominant over everyone, which is portrayed in the video to show the two female artists are dominant.

Thelma and Louise intertextuality

The video is based on the concept of Story of Thelma and Louise. Thelma and Louise were two friends who became fugitives in America, who were on video run from the law. From the video, in the diner scene from and onwards the setting of the music video, imitates that of the story of Thelma and Louise. Towards the end of the music video they drive off, which is a iconic scene at the end of the movie because that is when they drive off the cliff.
