Liberal Arts Career Development hosts
a week-long series of events designed to
support students in constructing a
professional branding image for the
business world. The week provides
workshops, seminars, and other
opportunities to learn from high-profile
industry figures.
Each event is designed to give those
who attend a competitive advantage when
actively pursuing employment or
internships. LACD Career Weekdemonstrates how to maintain a
professional image once students become
employed, giving them a competitive
advantage for the unfamiliar social climate
in a place of business.

Internship & Career Opportunities
CCO Communication Interns
CCO is offering a paid internshipposted on CCO Express for the 2010-
2011 academic year.
The majors sought are Agricultural
Communication, Communication, CGT,
Psychology, English, VCD, Sociology,
Selling & Sales, Retail, OLS, and
Management.
Graduation dates must be May 2011 -
May 2012.

Center for Food andAgricultural Business
The graphic design student interns
are an integral part of the marketing
activities of the Center for Food and
Agricultural.
Must be at least 2nd-Semester
Sophomore in VCD, and be detail-
oriented with a passion for design.
Required experience with: Adobe
Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator,
Dreamweaver (minimal); Microsoft
Word, Powerpoint.
Interns create marketing pieces such
as fliers, brochures, advertisements, Web
site banners, etc. They also develop
materials that are used at the centers
programs, including classroom
notebooks, signage, PowerPoint
templates, etc. Interns may communicate
with printers to obtain quotes for various
brochures, fliers, business cards, etc.
The VCD student will be employedfull-time over the summer and will put in
30-40hrs a week.

The qualified candidates are self-
motivated students who are passionate
about learning the digital side of
marketing. Get hands on experience

brands in Lafayette.Find 8 Digital will award the students
a $500 scholarship and college credits if
applicable.
E-marketing intern requirements:
1.Tech-comfortable attitude
2.Proficiency with the Internet, social
media, email, and more
3.Microsoft Office proficiency (Word,

4.Ability to stay organized while
multitasking on several projects at once
