We are again located in the same place as last K 2013 or in Hall 7 at booth # 71C37. On the last page of this invitation letter we are showing you a map of our location which I hope will make it easy for you to locate us. We will have same large booth area of some 200 square meters and it will be filled to the brim with a lot of our machines. All of them will be running at the show and we will be pleased to give you a firsthand personal demonstration of them all. I am very pleased to invite you to visit our booth at the giant K2016 exhibition. We are again located in the same place as last K 2013 or in Hall 7 at booth # 71C37. On the last page of this invitation letter we are showing you a map of our location which I hope will make it easy for you to locate us.

We will have same large booth area of some 200 square meters and it will be filled to the brim with a lot of our machines. All of them will be running at the show and we will be pleased to give you a firsthand personal demonstration of them all.

Each extruder is equipped with our weighing hopper feeders which has a large touch screen control panel mounted on the central control panel. This system enables a very easy and precise control of the layer thicknesses where you can key in the desired layer thickness in % of total film thickness or in weight units of total weight

5 units of our new Narrow Footprint extruders which are designed specifically for co-ex film blowing allowing minimum distance from extruder to die and to use up to 9 extruders to 9 die layers all at floor level. The line will have 5 units of 25 mm extruders, all with 30 L/D and with Vector Motor drives.The tower is equipped with motorized height adjustment and the film bubble is stabilized with 6 rows of Teflon rollers which all are synchronously adjustable and the A-frame is equipped with a multitude of Carbon Fiber rollers.

The film tower is of type LF400 Co-Ex with a total Nip Roll width of 400 mm which allows for a lay flat film width of around 350 mm.

Featuring

5 Layers Co-Ex Cast film line with 3 extrudersThis Co-Ex cast film and sheet line will be shown running with polymers at all exhibition hours. It is equipped with two 25 mm, 30 L/D single screw vented extruders coupled to a 5 & 3 layers feed block for A+B+C+B+A as well as A+B+C configurations.

The chill roll has rolling stack which can be tilted so it can be used either in vertical or horizontal position

The die width on the exhibition machine is 350 mm. The chill roll shown is of type LCCR-350-SR which is one of our heavy duty versions where the top roll is laid on hydraulically and where all three rolls have the same large diameter of 145 mm and a width of 400 mm.

Downstream we have equipped the chill roll unit with an edge cutter as well as practical wind up cassettes for the edge trims as well as a pneumatic expansion wind up shaft.

As with our 16 and 20 mm twins, this 26 mm version features our unique barrel module system with re-movable wear inserts. The module which contains the cartridge heaters and water cooling channels has

a length of 4D and are connected together with bolts. Purposely we have made the modules so that they have a small air gap when bolted together while the barrel inserts themselves are in complete contact to each other. This system enables a larger temperature variance between each barrel module which in turn gives a great flexibility in processing difficult polymers.

We will show at K 2016 our Micro-Scientific 16 mm co-rotating twin screw extruder featuring forced air cooling and electric heating of each barrel zone. In addition, both upper and lower part of the clam shell barrel has this feature and it ensures a very accurate temperature control

The twin will also be shown with a side feeder which is feed in turn by a gravimetric hopper feeder.

As with the standard 16 mm twin it is made with a com-plete modular build up of the clam shell barrel, where each barrel section has a length of 4 D. The drive power is 2.2 kW and the twin can be supplied with L/D ratios of up to 60.

As with all our twin screw extruders, the barrel is made in a leak proof clam shell version which is split in two halves and can be easily swung open after loosening the barrel bolts

Featuring

The unit has an on board high capacity PC and all running parameters can be easily keyed in on the practical keyboard. All data can be stored on board as well as downloaded to an external PC. The large screen is showing the pressure build up in real time and will automatically show the Delta P filter pressure value after the test is completed.

In Full Conformity to the DIN norm

The pressure sensor is connected to a pressure control instrument that in turn will regulate the extruder screw speed to ensure that it delivers a steady flow of polymer at a constant pressure. This inlet pressure can be set digitally on the control panel. A second transducer is placed in front of the filter and will monitorthe pressure build up

The filter tester head with the gear pump has a very streamlined design which enables very easy and fast cleaning from one batch to another. The head is connected to our 20 mm single screw extruder which has a new nice and user friendly touch screen controlling all parameters

We were first in the world to build the filter tester back in 2003.Since then copied by many but we are still the world leader

SHOW PIECE OF THE ULTRA MICRO EXTRUDER WITH PLEXIGLAS BARREL

FeaturingThis model of our Ultra Micro 18/8 mm extruder has a Plexiglas barrel and windows showing many inner components. The extruder will be shown at K running at all times.

It has two control features, one with a touch screen panel on the sub cabinet and the other control is with a Samsung mobile phone connected to an on board Wi-Fi router. So with this you can start and stop the extruder as well as regulate the screw speed. Since this model has a Plexiglas barrel, it does not have any heating. Otherwise we would have included temperature controls on the control

The purpose of this model is not only to show the inner workings of our Ultra Micro extruders but also to show future possibilities of controlling our machines remotely

The drive of the extruder is with a 400 W servo motor. This extruder is used in all our Ultra Micro lines and it has the unique feature with a conical screw with an inlet diameter of 18 mm, allowing the use of regular pellets. The end diameter of the screw is 8 mm.

The mill we will show is our ‘Hands Free” fully automatic version type LRM-SCR-110/T3E with automatic batch roll over device

The mill has our new modern design which is matching to the design of our presses

All other two roll mills in our range will have this new modern design as well as many new features

The mill is also equipped with our new very precise Nip-Gap distance measuring system

The roll over device is also re-designed, featuring a new DC motor drive system

All running parameters such as Nip-Gap distance, front and rear roll RPM and Roll over device movements are clearly visible and controlled on the large touch screen

Roll heating is with our accurate electric True-3-Zone heating system where center and both roll sides are individually heated and controlled

We will show color matching and QC of pigments in ABS with this mill together with the press described on the next page.
