Lab View and Thermistors

Objectives:

a) Become familiar with LabVIEW, a “Graphical” programming

software that allows the user to use block diagrams and graphical

representations instead of writing computer code to “build” a

measurement system.

b) Become familiar with “Thermistors” to measure temperature

(and their non-linear output characteristics)

c) Use a simple voltage divider circuit to give a voltage output signal

across thermistor.

d) Understand the many applications this program provides in

industry, particularly in data acquisition systems.

Discussion of Results:

Explain how LabVIEW is used to set up a measurement system

and acquire data. Take screenshots of your Block Diagram and

Front Panel to aid in your discussion.
