Italgasbeton SpA
History (1/2)
First industrial process – cement base -was patented in Sweden at thebeginning of 20th century.
In Northern Europe and in Germany theproduct rose in popularity to gain asignificant market share.
In Italy the first production plant cementbase was built in the late 70’s; now isout.
Italgasbeton SpA
History (2/2)
Dr. Ceccarelli started the research for analternative “lime base” process together withthe Chemical Engineering Department of RomeUniversity “La Sapienza” in 1979.
The new “lime base” process was officiallyacknowledged by the E.E.C. Commission in1986.
Construction of the Anagni (FR) production plantwas started in 1990.
Production of Lime Autoclaved Aeratedconcrete - IPERBLOCK® – was started in 1992.

The Product
IPERBLOCK proprietary recipe uses:
• LIME
• SAND
• Few Cement
The casting is followed by a rising phase thatgenerates the honeycomb structure
A successive phase of steam maturation inautoclaves completes the mineralizationprocess and the product becomes like a
