About the CFE

Created in 1978 specifically for French nationals living abroad, the CFE (Caisse des Francais de l’Etranger) is a voluntary social security fund, financially independant, but governed by the Social Security

Code that ensures continuity of coverage during expatriation or their return to France. It allows expatriates to have, regardless of their situation, the same social security as in France. The CFE offers a variety of social protections including: disaese & maternity, work-injury and pension planning (retirement).
