Per impostare la coda di stampa su sistemi Windows seguire i passi qui descritti:

Aprire il pannello di controllo delle stampanti (Start - Settings - Printers)

Windows Update

New Office DOCU~

Open Office DO~

Aggiungere una nuova stampante (Add printer); cliccando su "Add printer" inizia un'installazione guidata (Add printer Wizard): spingere Next

Scegliere "Local Printer" e deselezionare la ricerca automatica, come nella Figura che segue:

Con "Next" si passa alla prossima schermata, che riguarda la scelta della Porta. Scegliere in basso "Create new port" e selezionare "Standard TCP/IP port" (Figura seguente) .

Select the port you want your printer to use. If the port is not listed, you can create a new port.

Si apre quindi un altro Wizard, per la creazione della porta TCP/IP. Con Next si arriva alla schermata riportata nella Figura successiva, dove vanno scritte:

Nella prossima schermata scegliere in "Custom device type" (Figura) e poi "Settings ... "

Adesso si può andare avanti con "Next"; si chiude il Wizard della porta TCPIIP e si ritorna al Wizard per la stampante.

Scegliere la stampante fra i modelli HP come illustrato nella prossima Figura e spingere Next.

Attenzione: se non compare il modello HP 4100, installate prima il driver: Driv~er l:!P41 O(LPy-I Winçlows 2000; successivamente proseguite premendo Have Disk e digitare nella finestra Install from disk il path relativo al driver della stampante - se avete seguite le istruzioni: C:\lj82gen

Adesso la stampante compare nel Pannello di controllo, ma non è ancora configurata correttamente. Con il tasto destro del mouse sulla stampante che si sta configurando si apre il menu della Figufa seguente; scegliere le proprietà della stampante (Properties).
