Our Journey of Lent
Now we begin the third week of Lent, move into the middle or midpoint of Lent. And for all of us, I suppose, if we think of these days of Lent as a spiritual “journey” then it is good to take stock of where we are on that journey.
For some of us maybe we’ve had a hard time beginning, get-ting started on our Lent. Keep in mind it’s a journey we’re on; we’re trying to let the grace of God prepare us to have our mind and heart renewed to celebrate the Easter mystery of the Resurrection. Let’s try to listen to the readings of this week ahead. They’re constantly about an invitation from God, inviting us into a deeper, stronger relationship with Him. The scriptures express God’s longing for us hopefully in a way that matches the long-ing we have, our own yearning to know and love God. Take time this week to ponder the lesson about God’s constant love, that God is ever merciful to us.

There are an unlimited number of ways and reasons to be unhappy at this very moment.
Unhappiness is always an option, but so is happiness. Dynamic Catholic
