GAUGE:

18 sts + 28 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in cable pattern.

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATION:

2/2 LC (2 over 2 left cross) Slip 2 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k2, then k2 fromcable needle.Yo (yarn over)A way to create a small decorative hole (eyelet) in the fabric, worked as follows:1. Bring yarn to front, between the needles.2. Take yarn to back, over the right needle. This creates the new st. You are now ready toproceed with the next st as instructed.

COZYCast on 52 sts.Row 1 (WS): *P2, k2, p4, k2; rep from * to last 2 sts, p2.Row 2: *K2, p2, k4, p2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.Row 3: Rep Row 1.Row 4: *k2, p2, 2/2 LC, p2; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.Rep Rows 1-4 until piece measures about 1 3/4 in.
