Solving problems by using mechanical engineering science, mathematics and I.T knowledge. The knowledge to acquire, use and critically evaluate experimental information. The ability to conduct experimental investigations and analyse the results. Producing professional designs taking account of technical, environmental, ethical and commercial

considerations. Use a range of relevant software packages to retrieve, store, process, interpret and present information. Able to appreciate the economic context within which they work and the need for solutions to be

economically viable. Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

First Year Modules Studied: Mechanical Principles.Engineering Mathematics.Electrical & Electronic Principles.Principles of Design and Manufacture.Computer Aided Engineering.

Second Year Modules Studied:Advanced Engineering Mathematics.Strength of Materials.Theory of Machines and Thermodynamics. Project Management.Product Design & Development.

Third Year Modules Studied:Plant Analysis and Sustainability.Dynamics and Control.Solid Mechanics.

Final Year Project: The Design and Development of a Prototype Magnetic Engine. This project was based on the magnetic engine and different ways to design and develop a fully functioning engine with real world applications. This topic had several areas which interested me the most such as the core area being design related and also the environmental and economic capabilities it could hold.

I have a keen interest in sports. During my time at University I played for the Lacrosse team and took part in several competitive tournaments and events. I have also helped recruit new players to the team and helped teach the rules behind the sport.

I also enjoy surfing and swimming. Living near the coast has allowed me to pursue these hobbies further. I have also participated in the Clean Ocean Project which is an organisation related to cleaning beaches and making the ocean cleaner and safer for animals.
