Kyubi – translation of “nine tails” in Japanese, is associated with a mythical fox creature named “Kyubi no kitsune”. The fox, kitsune in Japanese, has always held a magical and spiritual significance in the Japanese culture, but most

famously it is considered as the messenger of Inari, a Buddhist god of rice. A legend tells that the more tails they had, the wiser and more powerful they were,

DRY SHERRY 75ml Bottle Fino CB 6 40A clean, bright, light wine, yellow in colour. On the nose, it is a complex, subtle and delicate wine. Notes of yeast, almonds, tobacco and liquorice are the predominant aromas. In the mouth, it is dry, bitter and smooth at the same time, and persistent in taste.

Manzanilla Pasada Pastrana 7 50An intense nose of apple skins and nuts leads on to a palate characterised by classic notes of almonds, orange peel and a salty twang. A prolonged finish marks this out as a wine of real quality.

Amontillado “Goyesco” 6 40 Bright amber colour, with powerful notes of nuts and wood, particularly almond and hazelnut. The flavour is very dry and complex, with breadth and persistence.

JAPANESE WHISKY - RARE BOTTLES

Karuizawa 1969 bottle 12,000Number One Drinks 2012, bourbon cask #8183 There are very few 1960s casks of Karuizawa which have been rescued from this lost distillery, the oldest one dating back to 1960. This bottling comes from a 400 litre ex-bourbon cask and is possibly the oldest of this type released. It is clearthat this cask has been very carefully looked after for the whisky to be an astonishing 61.3% ABV after 42 years in the wood.

Karuizawa 1967 bottle 35,000Cask #8183 The oldest and most famous Karuizawa ever bottled when it appeared at the tail-end of 2009, only 200 bottled were released onto the market, and after Whiskyfun and Whiskynotes both gave it humongous 95 point scores, it sold out in a little over 24 hours at cask strength of 58.4 % ABV.
