The KWP is Carver’s solids-handlingpump series for handling water, oils,

and chemicals in process and generalindustry applications. Primarily ahorizontal unit, the KWPcan be either framemounted or closecoupled.

Hydraulic performanceextends to 1,300 GPMand 300 feet ofhead. Thisrange iscovered by foursizes in castiron, and 316stainless steel asthe standard, off-the-shelf materials. Higheralloys such as CD4MCu,Alloy 20, Monel, and titaniumare also available.

The KWP is designed for fluids withentrained solids and fibrous materialsup to 1.5” in diameter. Wide passagesin the two-vane enclosed impellerminimize clogging and crushing of theentrained material.

Common options include soft packing, single or double cartridge seals, and anytype of seal flush plan. Bearing andcasing heating jackets and completeperformance testing to ANSI or APIspecifications are also available.

The back pull out design makesmaintenance easy

and lowers totallife cycle cost.Shaft deflectionsare limited to0.002” at the

seal, making theKWP ideally suited

for API Standard 610,8th Edition applications.

All together, these features combine tomake the KWP a pump of exceptionalvalue, combining affordability with someof the most efficient hydraulics found ina pump of this type.

Most importantly, as with all our otherpumps, the KWP offers the reliability, low total life cost, and lasting value thathas made Carver one of the mosttrusted names in pumps.

Why a KWP?

Among its many advantages, the KWP offersthe technical benefits of:

• Back Pull Out – Allows inspection ofrotating elements without disturbing thepiping or driver connections.

• Bearings – Single row, deep groove radialball bearings and double row, angularcontact thrust bearings exceed ANSI B73.1and API-610 requirements for shaftdeflection.

• Casing – 360° registered fits with fullyconfined gaskets assure proper sealing andalignment of critical fits.

• Bearing Frame – Thick walled, withoptional cooling coils available for highertemperature applications.

• Shafts – Large diameter shafts assureshaft deflections are under 0.002” at anypoint along performance curve.
