Mortgage Loans Still on the Rise Autumn: the Best Season to Sell Your Home The number of home mortgages granted went up again by 21,8% year-on-year in July, reaching 21,863 operations, according to data taken from the Property Registry by the “Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE)”. These data put June’s numbers at a month-on-month rate of 1.9%. Confidence in Spain’s Economy Declines In October, families have returned from summer vacation, kids are back to school, everything goes back to normal and it is the right time to set the next goal on our priority list: to search for a new house before Christmas falls upon us. Buyer and business confidence in Spain’s economy fell in September—the only economy to show a decline amongst the largest ones within the Euro- zone—after the highest levels were registered in August, according to a marker published by the European Commission. The rate of home buying & selling between January & June of 2015 surpassed once again an average of 1,000 operations per day, according to the latest data from the “Ministerio de Fomento”, after 5 years during which transactions wouldn’t go above a thousand.
