Employees who have more than one job must record their time worked to the correct position. Employees have to choose the appropriate position when they record their time in at a Kronos terminal or using the Timestamp functionality in the web-based application.

If an employee mistakenly records hours to the incorrect position, a supervisor has to transfer those hours to the correct position. A supervisor can only transfer hours to a position that they manage.

This presentation will walk you through the basic navigation of a timecard with multiple positions and how to transfer hours to a different job.

When the employee records their time in, they select the appropriate job title, however, the supervisor is only able to see the position and ID on the employees timecard to determine the position of the worked hours. In the Transfer column you can see which job hours have been recorded to. Hours in bold represent hours of a position that is managed by you. Non-bold hours are managed by a different supervisor.

Let’s say this employee has mistakenly recorded his time on Friday, 1/01 to position number 800850-00 instead of 800850-01 (which is a position that you manage). To move those hours to the correct position click on the drop down arrow in the Transfer column for 1/01.
