About • Kris%an Steinberg was born in Tallinn, Estonia in
1976. Discovering his desire for fashion while doing a degree in Chemistry at the Royal University of Technology in Stockholm, he then went on to study at University College of Arts CraG and Design and the famous Stockholm Academy – a strict ins%tu%on specialized in tradi%onal cuKng and tailoring. In Central St Mar%ns, Kris%an con%nued to develop a strong signature of anatomical cuKng – inspired by the anatomy of the human body-‐ and ultra tailoring, his final collec%on being chosen to represent St Mar%ns menswear at Weekend Le Vif in Brussels. Music has been Kris%ans constant muse: ‘My collec%ons are born from music-‐ I want them to live like a rock star, and die when the last fan has died.” Kris%an has previously worked with designers such as : Alexander McQueen, Rafael Lopez, Amanda Wakeley and Marios Schwab.

“Stereo” brings together a wide range of inspiraDon under a concept where every idea is presented from 2 different angles. InspiraDon is mulD cultural and has no real anchor in Dme, mixing menswear ideas that are rarely if ever seen together. This results in a collecDon that quesDons our preconceived ideas of menswear, masculinity and style direcDon of the post
metro-‐sexual man.
SS16 collecDon presents unexpected combinaDons, layering, volumizing and shaping. The range of oversized and slim opDons in trousers, shirts and jackets should not confuse one. Every garment has a perfect partner depending on the physique of the owner and allows for layering and styling in mulDple configuraDons. This is versaDle wardrobe at it’s best.

In mathemaDcs, the Greek le`er ∆ is oben used to indicate movement and the AW15 season caters for a fast moving lifestyle. Our Dmes are ever fast changing and the modern man is not only busy but
has a varied lifestyle that requires a lot from his acre. ∆ brings together elements from tailoring and sportswear and presents garments that are comfortable
but not casual. The style is modern and futurisDc-‐ it sits as comfortably on a fixie to a work meeDng in Holborn as does
it on a night out in Mayfair. We envision this to be the needs and customer for ∆. The bomber jackets play with materials, color and texture and the dull rose-‐gold zips underline the
combinaDons perfectly. The bombers are easy to wear with all the trousers in the collecDon including the double winter shorts.
The tailored jackets are slim cut without the tradiDonal collar or lapels and can be combined with a tailored trouser with sporty zips or with jeans cut skinny trouser in matching fabric.
The mohair Iceland jumpers are hand made by a crabs guild in Estonia. Every individual jumper is unique; the hand adjusted sDtch tension lets the garment mold to the owner’s body shape and
becomes more comfortable as it’s being worn. It becomes yours for life.

Aber long period of darkness and winter freeze, the beginning of spring feels like an explosion into light and colour, and despite our deep longing for milder Dmes its overwhelming power is almost too much to bear. This dramaDc change of season is captured perfectly by Igor Stravinsky’s ballet “The Rite of Spring”, a story about a girl who gets chosen by the villagers to
dance herself to death to appease the pagan Gods. Stravinsky’s music was parDcularly groundbreaking due to its mechanical and almost crude nature, which was perfectly reflected in the ballet itself as well as the modernist interpretaDon of peasant
costumes.
Ss15 collecDon captures the transformaDon from early spring into full bloom of summer and acts as cruise and summer collecDon all in one.
KrisDan Steinberg takes a great leap toward a more casual style yet without compromising any of the cool edginess manifested in the silhoue`e and the contrasDng materials. The ultra thin Japanese wool and paper like co`on manifest real actude but are very comfortable to wear and suggest a casual almost lazy way of dressing. Shirts in co`on voile and crinkled fine
polyester are real hot summer must-‐haves and the oversized collarless shirt takes the silhoue`e to similar territory as the maxi shorts.
Trousers are the key items of this collecDon and are available in 5 different styles going from maxi to cropped and skinny. The trouser length also climbs from floor length, to ankle to mid calf to knee and reflects not only the transient spirit of the
collecDon, but our general obsession with men’s trouser length. Bomber jackets and cropped boxy tailored jackets are casual but don’t lack in actude and lend themselves perfectly to the
transient lifestyle of a city fashionisto. The colour scale goes from Natural White, Lemon and Cherry Blossom Pink, to Indigo, Boudreaux and Dark Navy creaDng an
intricate relaDonship between the dark and the bright. It mimics the changing nature of spring and lends itself to great styling opDons for those who want a wardrobe that works is many different ways.
