Summary:

Kriss donald a 15 year old Glasgow school boy was tortured and murdered by a

gang in 2004. The gang consisted of 4 people from pakistani decent. The 15

year old was stabbed 13 times and lit on fire with petrol. It was later then found

out that this was a racially motivated murder and the perpetrators were then

sent to a life sentence.

Analyzation:

This article is a perfect example of human aggression as it shows us the impul-

sive and violent behaviors done by the perpetrators. As aggression generally

means feelings of anger, hostile or violent behavior the perpetrators have

shown us complete peer and religious aggression.

The perpetrators demonstrated peer aggression as they were physically bully-

ing and torturing the 15 year old causing him to both be hurt physically and

mentally. In a way this case was also an act of verbal aggression

tortured victims are often mentally harassed with profanity or hateful words

before physically tortured. Whereas in this case the victim was physically hurt

while being mentally bullied. Another type of aggression the perpetrators

demonstrated was verbal hostility suffered from one of the perpetrators as well

as the victim. The perpetrator received hate mail and was forced to move his

company. The 15 year old victim also received verbal hostility as he was most

probably verbally assaulted while being physically bullied. One of the factors

that were in this case include the people surrounding them as the person re-

ceived both lots of racial hate mail as well as stress from his financial problems

with his company. His friends would have also encouraged one another to com-

mit this act as according to the article no one tried to stop the perpetrators

from committing this act . The second factor is the media, because of the hate-

mail received this caused one of the perpetrators to influence his friends to do

such an act. The third factor would be discrimination, one of the perpetrators

Daanish Zahid was sent hate-mail and forced to move his company. Because of

this case I believe that people would be more aware of this situation and be

more cautious towards situations like these.
