It describes our way of work by providing quality products for our customers, through our commitment to provide overall satisfaction to our customers. Our precision automotive components are the result of our relentless work for providing products which suit’s customer’s requirements. We believe that it can be achieved only through excellent design and development from latest advances in technology and hard work of our employees who makes this possible.

Our passion is described not only by providing quality products but also by providing value added services with high precision which guarantees customer satisfaction.

We, at Krishna Autocomp have always believed in long term relationships with our customers beginning from start of the product cycle to the final product delivery to our customers. Since its inception, Krishna Autocomp have worked with all possible business sectors and has grown in all dimensions catering to their needs in the best possible way. We believe in precision in our

products and hence have accepted the globally used standards for manufacturing our products. This will help us in creating a huge market for us, globally as well. We keep grooming our company from time to time coping with latest market demands and have made it an inclusive component for our overall development.

As a high precision machine shop, we believe in creating a ladder of growth and success for our company through an all-round development by incorporating sustainability in all our processes. Our employees are our most important stakeholders and our work, values and ethics are all managed to the best of their abilities because of them. We have highly skilled and talented workforce which ensures best products and customer satisfaction by being flexible and adopting to the newer trends in the market. While we focus on creating value for our company, we are also conscious about the impacts of our operations on the environment and society in which we operate. Hence we have created an environment friendly plan to cater to this need of an hour.

Report Contour

We start the journey of Sustainability Reporting from this financial year FY 2014-15 with the theme “Quality, Precision, Commitment” which has been our key focus always for all our business processes.

‘Customer satisfaction’ has been our motto and we achieve it by offering superior quality products to our customers at industry competitive prices. Our products are manufactured using high grade material in compliance with international quality standards along with ethical business policies.

This report is a reflection of our sustainability performance for the year 2014-15. It covers all our activities involving manufacturing and supplying various sheet metal press component, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures.

This report is being created to depict our sustainable performance through our business journey. Sustainable performance of our company is based on our operational processes and management approach. Our report is the compilation of data and information collected and collated from primary sources across our operations. Further wherever required, we have used assumptions and standard equations and calculation methodologies for quantification purpose. Certain information included in this report refers to our future plans and intentions, in order to account for our sustainability approach. This information relates to our strategy, future plans and targets, operations and business plans.

Various Stakeholders such as Suppliers, Employees, Consumers, Industry Association, Community as well as many Regulatory Authorities are expected to use the Report to know about Company's Sustainability Performance.

This report is based on Global Reporting Initiative’s G4 (Core) guidelines on sustainability reporting for the FY 2014-15. A detailed table showing the reference to reported GRI indicators has been presented in the GRI Index at the end of this report.

Report Scope and Boundary

Our project boundaries have been defined keeping in mind the perspectives of our key management personnel together with the various issues and challenges identified through various discussions or interactions with our customers, contractors, employees etc. An overall review of these helped in identifying the key materiality issues that helped form the further strategies.

The boundary setting process was done based on GRI principles. Each of the material aspect was identified for its impact either outside or inside the organization and the scope of the report was finalized. It was found that each of the material aspect had the relevant impact within the organization.

Scope of our report for financial year FY 2014-15 includes all the operations like manufacturing, assembling and supplying of automotive products at Krishna Autocomp, (Ambad) Nashik.

In our endeavor to contribute to the economic and social progress of the country and enabling better quality of life for stakeholders, Krishna Autocomp has been playing a pivotal role by providing Automotive components at competitive prices to its customers. Our latest technologies that leads to Customer satisfaction and use of internationally recognized standards has been constantly our endeavor and has turned out to be a key business focus.

It gives me immense pleasure to present Krishna Autocomp’s Industries first sustainability report for financial year FY 2014-15.

We understand the number of uncertainties’ happening in the businesses because of the climate change, hence we strive to behave responsibly by embedding sustainability in all or business processes. In spite of this being our maiden Sustainability Report, our commitment to the concept of sustainability has always been an intrinsic part of our way of life.

Efficient and innovative use of natural resources, recycling, re-use , efficient use of energy and waste minimization have always been an integral part of our ethos which is why we have always considered commitment to the environment and to the community at large as our top-most priority.

We have always been a client specific organization and all our efforts are directed towards providing high end value added professional services of manufacturing and supplying automobile components. Furthermore, we customize these products on the basis of the specifications detailed by the clients so as to cater to the different requirements of the clients. Besides, our logistics personnel make sure that the consignments are delivered on time at clients' destination using our wide distribution network. Apart from this, we accept payment via several easy modes like cash and cheque for assuring the complete convenience of customers.

We have always been transparent and ethical in all our business practices and our approaches towards clients. Our Management approach and market leading prices have been the major components of our growth and success. Our policies have enabled us to muster a huge customer base across the market and form a positive image in the minds of all our stakeholders.

Company Profile

We, “Krishna Autocomp”, are one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of sheet metal press component, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Our headquarters is located at D-58, MIDC; Ambad, Nashik -422010. Based in Nashik (Maharashtra, India), we are an organization held in partnership. The net sales for the reporting year is INR 89706923.

Manufactured using premium quality aluminum, stainless steel and various other material, our products are highly applauded for their dimensional accuracy, high strength, optimum durability, easy installation, corrosion resistance and fine finish. The raw material used in the manufacturing process is sourced from the most authentic vendors of the market.

A competent team of professionals is appointed by us that greatly supports all the practices of manufacturing and trade. These highly experienced professionals hold detailed knowledge of their respective domains. Moreover, we have developed a sophisticated infrastructure facility installed with high tech machines and advanced technology that sprawls across an extensive area. In order to provide clients with a flawless range of products, we conduct various tests at our end. Since our range is in tandem with the norms of the industry, we have been accredited with relevant international standards. Furthermore, we customize these products on the basis of the specifications detailed by the clients and the consignments are also delivered on time at clients' destination.

We are a private company and there was no change in ownership, size, structure observed during the reporting year. We do not have any externally developed economic, environmental, and social charters, principles, or other initiatives to which the organization subscribes or endorses. We are not associated as a member to any other organisations.

Krishna Autocomp has been into manufacturing and supplying of the automotive components like sheet metal press component, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures to Automotive OEMS.

We are a very small organization the following are the details of our employees.

Our Supply Chain Management.

Our supply chain is well maintained and follow a specific procedure. Currently we have engaged around 8 suppliers for fulfilling our business requirements. These suppliers are categorized as R M suppliers, Consumable supplier, contractors and job workers. First we provide a purchase order to our suppliers according to the requirement, then once the material is received we get receipt of material and bill booking is done after which the pay is processed to the individual supplier. We are currently supplying to a leading Automobile company in India.

In today’s world of networks and relationships, stakeholder engagement is imperative to build awareness and trust, learn together, build common ground, resolve conflict, collaborate and cooperate to achieve common good.

Krishna Autocomp engages with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, internal and external to understand their concerns and priorities and use those inputs to guide policy formulation and decision-making.

The aim of engaging with the Stakeholders is as follows:

• Determine the priority sustainability issues, as defined by internal and

external stakeholders

• Develop and strengthen the business case for sustainability

We identify our key stakeholders through their impact on our business and the value we create for them in return. The concerns identified by them through various channels and engagement mechanisms are vital for our successful business growth. At Krishna Autocomp engagement with stakeholders is an ongoing process and need based. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of our business process and hence we offer solutions to customers for their range of outsourcing needs. Our ability to develop products and customize them according to changing market demands and specific requirements is vital for our current and future business growth.

Our team members directly interact with the customers to know their exact needs and provide them the products accordingly. Also, our logistics personnel make sure that the consignments are delivered at clients’ destination within the stipulated time frame using our expansive distribution network.

Suppliers

As quality is of utmost importance for our business, it is important to maintain cordial relationship with our vendors and suppliers.

We have always maintained our stance on the suppliers maintaining a comprehensive quality system to ensure compliance with the requirements of the contract.

We have a dedicated process that we follow to assess the capability and performance of each supplier in order to ensure that each of our suppliers and sub-suppliers are also meeting the industry standards and the raw materials procured are of the highest quality. Maintaining positive relations with our vendors/contractors thus indirectly helps us build confidence with our customers.

Bankers

A bank is a financial intermediary and money creator that creates money by lending money to a borrower. Due to their importance in the financial system and influence on national economies, banks are highly regulated in most countries.

Like any other company, our company is also built up on finances and the financial assistance is provided by bankers. Without bankers any transaction is not possible for our company. Maintaining transparent and ethical financial transactions ensures long-term relationship with the banks and their respective authorities.

Materiality Analysis

Management Approach:

Identifying Sustainability issues of critical importance is essential for developing a focused and comprehensive sustainability strategy for our company. Therefore, it became necessary to institutionalize a process for identifying the material sustainability issues and challenges for the company and its stakeholders. The intent of setting up such a method is to deliberate and focus keenly on the issues that impact us and our surroundings and which would also create the path for future growth.

Our Process of Identifying Material Aspects

A laundry list of material issues was prepared by KPMG in consultation with the senior management at Krishna Autocomp. The factors considered while listing down material issues were; media reporting, internal review, external peer review, sector specific standards and regulations and research on wider social and environmental trends and challenges.

Stakeholder’s were identified and prioritized based on their influence on Krishna Autocomp and Krishna Autocomp’s Impact on the stakeholders. Employees, Customers, Suppliers, Bankers were the key stakeholders considered in this study.

The internal and external stakeholders (except community) ranked the material issues on a scale of 1 – 6 (where 1; very low, 2: low, 3: medium; 4: high, 5: very high and 6 is not applicable) based on the impact and importance of the material issue for Krishna Autocomp. The local community’s feedback on material issues was taken and incorporated though one to one interactions.

We arrived at the top five material issues for the Krishna Autocomp by a scoring methodology, where a simple average was taken for all the identified issues from all stakeholders, including senior management. The Identified aspects were considered to be material and the report content is based on these material issues.

Customer satisfaction’ in every possible way has always been the driving force behind each of Krishna Autocomp’s business activities and shall always remain the center of focus in order to create an all-inclusive sustainable growth for the company.

Managing customer satisfaction and meeting customer requirements has always been the key area of focus at our company, which is why all our operations and processes are always managed in a way so as to meet the needs of the customer according to the changing market conditions.

We believe that customer satisfaction can be achieved only if the products and services provided by us are of the highest quality and meet industry standards alongside meeting the ever-changing client specifications as well. manufacturing of precision engineered automobile components. Even for the products that are supplied directly without customization, we provide a wide range of varied products in each of the category so as to suit the needs of every particular client.

Our Team members have always maintained a point to interact with the customers through various mediums in order to know their needs in a better manner and shall continue to strive towards achieving a better customer-management relationship through various efforts.

Employee Training and Development

Our people are our most valuable assets and investing in them helps us build a strong organization. At Krishna Autocomp, we measure growth not just in terms of the value we deliver to our customers, but also in terms of the growth of our employees. We believe that the welfare of our employees is integral to our vision to become a vibrant organization.

Our talent management strategy is focused on building future leaders and creating a talent pool within the organization to ensure a pipeline of high quality business leaders to steer the company forward on its growth trajectory. Hence the company focuses on training their human resources for the overall development, motivation and retention of their employees.

Many training programmes are arranged for the permanent and contractual workforce by us to enhance their capabilities. This year also we had organized many employee trainings on currents topics relevant to their overall development and the information is provided further in this report.

Occupational Health and Safety

Safety is one of the most important aspect at Krishna Autocomp. As a Manufacturing unit and supplier there is always a risk associated with health and safety of the employees and utmost care should be taken to protect the employees. We recognize the importance of the safety at workplace for our employees and always strive to have zero injuries at our workplace.

Precautionary awareness of occupational health risks is an integral part of our orientation program and on-site trainings, for both employees and contractors. We also impart trainings on various health issues and safety concerns to our employees and contractors on various issues for their general awareness.

Employee Engagement

Employees are building blocks of any organization. Growth and success of any organization is because of technology adaption and innovation, but it is implemented by employees. The employees are the ones who not only create and deliver the products or services to our customers, but are also our company’s face in front of the customers. Hence our employees are our most valuable resource and significant contributors to our success.

We regularly engage our employees by conducting regular meetings, to understand their concerns and provide resolutions by arranging various trainings and employee events. . In case of any concerns arising during any of the engagement sessions we make sure to resolve it at the earliest and also take care not to have a repeat of it ever again.

Energy Consumption

Our efforts in energy management focus on an integrated approach which entails all the steps in the value chain – from transportation of raw materials from the plant, to the production of automotive components and further the dispatch of the final products to our customers. This seamlessly coordinated production chain and the concentration of expertise, provide an excellent basis for symbolizing product characteristics while at the same time reduces energy and resource consumption.

Our Environmental Footprint Management Approach While the global demand for engineered automotive components and vehicle parts is constantly increasing with the ever-growing automobile sector, it also indicating an increased use of natural resources for the production of the same. This demand is expected to only increase at a prolific rate in the future.

We realize that these resources are shrinking and therefore the need of the hour is to utilize them as efficiently as possible and reduce the wastage to the maximum extent possible.

To reduce the environmental footprint in our operations, we are in the process of taking measures for improving the efficiency of our processes and using the energy resources optimally. At the same time, we are enhancing our efforts towards recycling and reusing waste, thereby reducing landfilling. We ensure that our operations do not incur any negative impact on our surrounding biodiversity.

Energy Consumption We being the responsible organization our main efforts are to reduce our natural resources optimally and also to achieve energy efficiency in our operations. We have our entire value chain organized in a way where right from transportation of raw material to the production plant, to the production of automotive components in the company and further their dispatch of the final products to the consumers showcase our energy management approach. This well organized and coordinated production chain and the concentration of expertise, provide an excellent basis for symbolizing product characteristics while at the same time reduces energy and resource consumption. The following is the data for our direct energy consumption. Our raw material consumption was 752.92 MT for the FY 2014-15. The energy required for the conversion of raw materials into final products is our direct energy consumption, given below in the table.

We have also taken some steps to reduce the energy consumption by our company. Capacitor were installed in all our machines in the month of June and 9% reduction in total energy consumption was achieved. Similarly Air leakage was reduced in the month of May at heavy press shop and almost 5% reduction was achieved in consumption of energy.

Social Performance Management Approach

A skilled, committed, knowledgeable and enthusiastic workforce has always been the priority at Krishna Autocomp. We also believe that having the correct balance of right talent and skills will prove to be a key success factor and shall also be an important parameter in defining our future growth as well.

Inclusion and empowerment of people in the organization will make them more creative and productive and also due emphasis needs to be laid on understanding the employees’ concerns and their expectations to enhance their efficiency levels. We aim to continuously improve our employee engagement schemes so as to provide our workforce with a conducive work atmosphere and also look towards developing further strategies towards the overall development of our employees.

We firmly believe in the fact that each of our employee should get equal opportunities to sharpen their skills, which is why they are provided with a number of training and learning sessions which help them increase their skills in their area of expertise. Also to keep our professionals abreast of market trends & technological advancements, we arrange a number of interactive and learning sessions for them.

Considering the type of production and manufacturing processes that are carried out at our organization, ensuring the occupational health and safety of the workforce in the firm is also of utmost importance. Various control systems and devices, O&M systems, compliance audits, inspection and maintenance, safety equipment, risk management should thus form an integral part of our sustainability strategy at Krishna Autocomp.

Also, taking into account the issues related to workforce/ labor as well as the concerns regarding various human rights at the workplace is of utmost priority for us as our employees are major contributors to our growth and success.

Employee Engagement

We believe that employee satisfaction is our best reward and hence we engage our employees to motivate them and build trust amongst them.

We regularly engage our employees by conducting regular meetings, to understand their concerns and provide resolutions by arranging various trainings and employee events.

In case of any concerns arising during any of the engagement sessions we make sure to resolve it at the earliest and also take care not to have a repeat of it ever again.

Currently there is no grievance mechanism for our employees since our employee number is not very high. Hence any kind of employee grievance is resolved at individual level.

Occupational Health and Safety

Any manufacturing company faces issues related to workmen safety. Hence, it becomes a necessity to provide a healthy and safe working environment and also form strategies related to assisting workforce members or their families regarding such hazards and risks etc.

We have few people from our workforce represented in formal joint management–worker health and safety committees that helps us monitor and advice on occupational health and safety programs carried out in the company. We have made sure, that the presence of both management as well as workers in this committees will make the policies on health and safety more transparent as well as more precise. We have observed no risks to the employees related to their occupation.

Product Responsibility Management Approach

The impacts of our products and services during their use phase and also at the end of the product life are of significance. Also, as we customize our products according to the specifications given by the customers, it becomes important to take more proactive approaches of assessing the impacts of our products and services. We assess the health and safety impacts of the product/ service for improvement during the certification process.

Being a quality conscious organization; we strive hard for achieving the highest standard of the quality in each product. We believe in ensuring compliance to indicate confirmation to performance parameters and also reduce financial risks.

For this, we procure premium raw material from the reputed vendors of the market for manufacturing our entire range of products and services. We have defined processes in order to ensure that our machining centers, machine tools and components, special purpose machines etc. meet global industry standards and that raw material of the highest quality go into our production processes.

Supply Chain Management

Transportation of the automotive parts and assemblies for various customers at various locations leads to the need of identifying various environmental impacts due to the transportation of these products and also for various logistical purposes or planning strategies also.

Ethical business practices along with meeting customer requirements indicates a need to form systems and strategies to screen our suppliers and also describe processes used to identify and assess significant impacts.

Customer Satisfaction Surveys “Customer satisfaction” being our main focus area we try to get a feedback from our customers in the form of a performance score card. This score card evaluates our performance based on following parameters like customer perceived quality performance, plant quality performance, certifications, plant delivery performance and system certifications or audits.
