Kothaligad served as a lighthouse or watch tower to keep vigil on an advancing enemy. Built In 13th century, and captured by British,. The pinnacle is an engineering marvel carved fromInside forming a staircase to reach the top.

The Road… still not motorable!!!! Village at Peth with a population of around 800 carry everything they need on their head and walk up this terrain almost daily !!!

No Doctor in the village…. Children beyond 5th std daily walk down and up this route for over an hour for school.

A great place for first time trekkers. The journey from Ambevali till Peth is easy and gives an exhilarating view from the top. An appeal to all trekking enthusiasts to try this out. Our visit frequency may get the village a much deserved road and better amenities!!!
