INTRODUCTION

From ancient times Chinese scholars have studied the I'Ching and have

considered it the greatest book ever written. At the beginning of every age

people are inspired to adapt I'Ching to suit that particular age. In 3,322 B.C., Fu

Hsi adapted the Inner Earth Arrangement of the eight ancient hexagrams. This

suited the Age of Aries. 1n 1142 B.C. the Duke of Chou adapted the I'Ching to

suit the Age of Pisces, by relating it more directly to the family members. The

present edition is adapted to suit the new Kosmon (Aquarian) Age. In addition

through thousands of years, the Great Diviner was one of the most important

advisors of the Emperor. He was in charge of the rules of I'Ching and supervised

the adaptation of the rules to the current times, The Chinese considered The

I'Ching to be the oldest known literature on earth. Through many thousands of

years scholars have added to its knowledge. Confucius said "Give me a few

more years to live and I shall master the I'Ching." Hundreds of scholars have

worked on the I'Ching and succeeded in bringing a wonderful and consistent

meaning to the 64 Hexagrams. From 1200 B.C. to date, various scholars have

added commentaries and explanations of I'Ching. In the Imperial library

catalogue prepared by Liu Hin over 2000 years ago, 294 works were included on

I'Ching by 13 different schools. In the 1715 Imperial Chinese edition, foot-notes

by 218 were found. The above I'Ching images existed before I'Ching action

images, which in turn preceded Chinese characters. Since man knows more

collectively them individually, perhaps you can add to this great fund of

knowledge and aid its cosmic adaption to the new Kosmon (Aquarian) Age

The central theme of the I’Ching is that man will become virtuous. He will

persevere until he attains success. He will look to the higher causes that rotate in

tune with the universal laws of the Creator. The card that one chooses indicates

the particular state one is in. If one determines the eight surrounding numbers,

he finds the pattern in which he is presently vibrating. The objective of the

I’Ching is to change this spiritual state into a more blessed one. In ancient

times in China, one would chose from the yarrow sticks, but today this is

laborious and unnecessary. One may control one’s destiny with the I’Ching

cards. It is possible for each of the hexagrams to change into another through

Page 4: Kosmon I'ching Cards - Cliff Carmichael

4

appropriate movement. Thus we have 64x64 or 4096 stages and these

represent every possible spiritual situation. The numbers on the cards indicate

a few numerology pattern befitting the Kosmon (Aquarian) Age.

God said: These are the nine entities; or, according to the ancients, Jehovih and

His eight children, His Sons and Daughters. And these are the same, which in all

ages, poets and philosophers have made to speak as, THE FAMILY OF THE

UNIVERSE. Through them I speak. Jehovih is the Light, that is, Knowledge. The

manifestation of Knowledge in man is Jehovih. The growth of wisdom in man, as

the earth groweth older, is the Tree of Light. (Oahspe, God’s Book of Ben 0:10)

Legend says that there was a wonderful Golden Age in China when rulers were

chosen from the best of men and ruled by their examples of virtue. The sage

contemplates this enlightened time and desires that it return to man during the

Kosmon Era.

DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE KOSMON I’CHING CARDS

(1) The simplest method is to shuffle the cards well until you have your vibrations

attuned to them— then draw one card. This is the state you are now in.

(2) MALE—There is a vibratory change every seven days from the solstice.

You can draw a card for each cosmic change.

(3) FEMALE—With each change of the moon, there is a change in the individual

vibration, so determine your new vibration by drawing a card, forgetting the

old card with each change of the moon.

(4) Examine the appropriate alternate male or female card and if you are willing

to change your thoughts into the male (or female) aspects presented, you

can accept the other card chosen. You can change.

(5) In examining the card(s), pay most attention to the image and try to read it so

it means something to you at the particular time. Each image is like a picture

of the condition presented.

(6) The images represent the spiritual states, while the hexagrams represent the

earthly states.

(7) When a card is picked, the current is activated, and the resulting awareness

illumines the situation, so one can reach to the heights and the depths and

examine all things. As a result, one can grasp the seed of all things and the

nucleus of understanding.

(8) To understand one’s condition, gives one great power to control the present

and the future. The oracle indicates the cause—the effect is up to you—you

control your future.

(9) The Cosmic Hexagram is located in the central bottom position. There is little

that can be written about it at this time because it is that higher hexagram

which exists on the finer dimensions of the Es (spirit) plane. The various

small dots and strokes in the upper part indicate the development into those

particular unseen qualities: the third eye, top of head the solar plexus, ect, or

those developments of the unseen Chi, Shen and Ching qualities which

affect the human body. There are many unseen exalted qualities not listed

at this time which are eventually possible to the virtuous. At the present time,

the mind of man has not progress sufficiently into the Kosmon (Aquarian)

Age to appreciate this knowledge. It is expected that it will be released

during the high light of the Hi’Dan in the thirteenth cycle of Kosmon. The

hexagrams then will total 128.

Page 6: Kosmon I'ching Cards - Cliff Carmichael

6

(10) There are a number of special hexagrams which are indicated by a small

cross above. The various names above the hexagram indicate the cycles

that affect man during the periods shown by the number of the hexagram.

These names can also be chanted in order to effectively promote one’s

attunement with that number.

(11) In ancient times, the alchemists called squaring the circle “The

Philosopher’s Stone,” or the Magic Square in the Magic Circle. On the back

of these I’Ching cards are the I’Ching Square and Circle, called by ancient

philosophers “The Squaring of the Circle” wherein one could reach a sublime

state. The Inner Magic Square is composed of a unique pattern of numbers,

so that in any square of four numbers, the total of those numbers equals 130.

Each row horizontally or vertically totals 260, or twice 130.Thus the square

divides the 13 weeks of each season into ten parts (total 130). The Inner

Magic Square has great power. The Outer Entry Circle is also divided into

sections of 130. Contemplation of the Cover Magic Circle and Magic

Square brings one closer and closer to the basic vibrations of the Creator.

(12) The Outer Circle represents the worldly vibrations that surround one.

The Inner Square represents the Initiate who has gained control of his entity,

freeing himself from worldly influences. When a man masters staying in the

Inner Square, he will hear music of such exquisite beauty that he will want to

hear it more and more. The eloquence of these thrilling notes will be a sign

that the Preserver Guides have come to him. In order to hear more of this

glorious music, a man will strive to remain in the Inner Square. This will give

enchantment to his very being and enable him to contact celestial entities.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE CARDS

The best spiritual methods of attunement and inspiration are naturally those

which involve direct communication with the All Highest, the Creator, the Great

Spirit Ever-Present within All. Even though this is clearly the case, there may

be times where one feels spiritual progress in terms of knowledge, wisdom,

attunement, or enlightenment, may be best furthered through the use of certain

spiritual tools or methods. Some possible avenues of this kind would include

relatively sacred writings (such as Oahspe), the Creator's beautiful and

awesome universe itself (of so many wonderful dimensions), and most powerful

of all, spiritual activities done in unity with other souls (spiritual fellowship, works,

discussion, prayer, communion, and worship).

Hence these cards, The Kosmon I’Ching Cards, can be viewed as one

possible set of spiritual tools. Nevertheless, these cards should never be

considered as infallible, nor as the sole, best method, and especially never as a

substitute for as direct as possible communion with the Creator. It should be

kept in mind also that any such tools take knowledge, virtue, skill, and above all

faith and practice to use well. In addition, these cards will not be for everyone,

nor even perhaps for really that many of the True Seekers of Light. However,

for those who could be led to use them at times for the greater good and to more

perfectly fulfill the Will of the Creator, they are presented here with the sincere

hope and wish that they may be only a benefit to all persons focusing upon

them.

The first three sets are included in this book out of the nine that the original

author, Cliff Carmichael, created. The other sets may be available from certain

Faithists. You may contact me at anthony3741@yahoo in order to confer with

me on obtaining the other sets. It is true the first set is the most accessible, yet

even the specific information concerning the information on the cards, is not fully

complete though attentive minds and good inspiration can unlock their

symbolism and meaning. I cannot speak to any of the other sets, as I have never

seen them, though I have heard the ninth set (The White Set) is the best of

these.

All of these card sets contain a great deal of spiritually-based concepts which

Page 8: Kosmon I'ching Cards - Cliff Carmichael

8

have been systematized from various sources (Oahspe, the I'Ching, the Chinese

zodiac, the western zodiac, numerology, and more) as seemed best to their

original author, Cliff Carmichael. Therefore, the users of these cards will

require some time and study to understand the different elements presented on

each card, and the different ways in which the cards have been organized in

groups within each set. It is suggested that the users not feel they need to

understand all of these elements in order to begin using and interpreting the

cards wisely. In many cases, only those sections of the cards which seem the

more comprehensible or more harmonious, should be focused on. In particular,

the headings and central Chinese characters, seem simplest and clearest

means to understand the answer to one’s question.

It could also be right argued that simply studying the spiritual systematized

information is in itself a more valuable spiritual exercise that using the cards for

prophecy or divination. A third valuable spiritual activity would be to meditate

upon the cards along the lines of the best inspiration one can attune towards

between The Voice of The Creator, and the Heavenly Lines of Alignment that

exist between the cards and the angelic realms in terms of spiritual cycles.

The actual divination use of cards should involve the posing of a question or a

problem, and a prayer or a request for the highest light on the subject, followed

by a "random" drawing of a card. The interpretation of this card in light of the

question, will in itself, require the user to draw upon their inner inspiration and

logical analysis to reach a clear reading. For whatever truth or good will is

achieved through the reading, you can be sure the Creator is ultimately the

source which is expanding through you. Please remember that simple study of

the cards themselves, rather than divination, may be the sole and best possible

use of the cards for an individual user. Please see the next section for more

specific card information.

means of which one can change his state or condition.

4. The title of the card, appearing in large print, is the name given to the

card.

5. Above the name are usually shown the 2 ancient names given to the

House.

6. The roman number l or ll between these ancient names indicates

whether the card belongs to the 1st or 2nd part of the I’Ching.

7. The M or F in the upper-right corner indicates whether a male or female

Preserver is associated with the card.

English.

13. Under this Old English name is a suggested approach to chanting the

name. The chant tunes one into the influence of the card.

14. Under the chant in small letters appears a suggestion of the feeling that

could be used while chanting.

15. Under the large name in the top center are words which expand

ones understanding of meanings associated with that particular card.

16. Under these names in the top center is the ancient Panic symbol or

image, as given in Saphah, which is related to that card.

17. Under this Panic symbol in the top center is the picture of the House sign,

one of the Gods Book of Ben names for the spiritual symbolic child of

the Creator.

18. In the center of the card, below this Ben symbol, are the ancient Chinese

characters / writing which describes the qualities of the card.

19. Beside the Chinese characters on both sides is a summary reading or

text of the card containing the related ideas which are more appropriate

to the new Kosmon (Aquarian) Age.

20. In the center below the Chinese characters are traditional interpretations

of this image.

21. The conventional I'Ching hexagram is under the Chinese characters.

22. Below the hexagram in small letters are variously related and common

medieval royalty ranks.

23. In the center bottom of the card is the cosmic version of the hexagram.

The dots represent psychic developments associated with those

lines.

Page 11: Kosmon I'ching Cards - Cliff Carmichael

11

24. Above the cosmic hexagram on some cards are any related cosmic

influences. A small cross here indicates a cosmic blessing.

25. In the lower left corner are the Primary Trigrams along with their names.

The upper one is the cosmic one. The small numbers associated with

these trigrams indicate the line values. The arrows indicate the

directional flow of each trigram.

26. To the right of the Primary Trigrams are the Nuclear Trigrams which are

the inside Trigrams of the hexagram. These indicate the cosmic action

taken in the nucleus. The upper part of the Nuclear Trigram is

cosmic.

27. Between the Primary Trigrams and the Nuclear Trigrams is a vertical line.

If the card is Male, the line bends away from the Primary Trigrams, and

visa versa.

28. The words near the Trigrams and this line are the associated

meanings.

29. In the extreme right-bottom corner is found the Yang or the Yin and Yes

or No, for the purpose of answering questions.

30. Just above Yang or Yin in a box are the family attributes and family

images for the hexagram.

31. Polar Space information is found just about this family box.

32. Between the Cosmic Hexagram and the family box is a 3x3 Magic

Square. It indicates those numbers which are in harmony with the card

number.

33. Above the Magic Square are the dance instructions which may be

followed (see Magic Square as well) if one wishes to attune oneself to

the various vibrations associated with the card.

Page 12: Kosmon I'ching Cards - Cliff Carmichael

12

34. The sum of the Magic Square is just above it on its left side.

35. The numbers and letters just above the Magic Square on its right side is

its position within a larger 9x9 Magic Square and that Squares sum. This

9x9 Magic Square can also be found in a still larger Magic Square

shown on the back of the card as well as on the home page of this

website address:

http://kosmonoahspe.tripod.com/

36. The Major Arcannum Cards are numbers 1, 2, 11, 12, 19, 20, 23, 24, 33,

34, 43, and 44. On the very top of these cards is information regarding

the Chinese zodiac and Kosmon influences. In the top right is the

associated western zodiac sign. In the upper center below the names

is the date and information of the weather. The left central part of the

card shows the symbol of the cosmic disturbance and the information

relating to it. The right central part of the card shows the Polar Space

presently operating directly on you at the present time.

37. Find the year of your birth at the bottom of one of the major Arcannum

cards. This card indicates to which Chinese Zodiac sign you belong.

Kosmon years are also shown.

Please remember to:

(1) Use the cards sparingly and in your highest spiritual

focus for divination readings, and

(2) Always keep in mind that divinations, even if interpreted

correctly, only indicate present trends and intentions,

and that nevertheless your own free will and actions

always determine your destiny.
