Who we assist We provide services to families and children living in the Inner West and South West areas of Sydney. Some of Koorana’s services are block funded by a government agency, others are fee for service. Your family may be eligible for individual government funding to cover fees, and we can support you with applications if you need. Referrals Referrals can be made to Koorana through our website or by calling the number below. Referrals can be made by parents or guardians, medical and health professionals, and other service providers. Donate Koorana is a registered non-profit charity. We rely on financial assistance from the community to grow our services. Your donation will support Koorana’s vital work supporting children to reach their full potential. What Koorana offers

Koorana Child & Family Services provides learning opportunities for all children and their families in a caring environment. We work across the Inner West and South West of Sydney.

Koorana offers a range of services across early education, intervention for children with additional learning needs, and family support, all within a framework of family centred practice.

Services include

• 2 preschools (Lakemba and Roselands)

• Supported playgroups across Bankstown and Canterbury

• Disability specific services for children with additional learning needs, delivered through educational centre and home based programs, and through individual therapy

• Case management, support during the diagnosis process, and assistance to access other services and the community

• General family support through activities such as information workshops and social support groups.

Koorana is a community owned non-profit organisation

with strong connections across the communities of

Inner West and South West Sydney.

We are committed to your child and family having

supportive connections, discovering possibilities and

participating to their full potential in all aspects of

family and community life.

Our work is guided by our commitment to self-

determination, access and equity, mutual respect,

collaboration, ethics and integrity.

How we work with you

Our experienced professionals work in partnership with

you to support your child’s learning and development,

and to support you in meeting your goals.

We form a supportive transdisciplinary team around

your child, drawing on our expert Early Childhood

Educators, Specialist Teachers, Speech Pathologists,

Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social

Workers and Psychologists. You will have a key worker

from the team who will be your main point of contact.

Our team can help you access information and ideas

that assist you and your child at home and in the

community. They can also help you transition your child

into other educational and community settings, and

can link you to other services. Our team can arrange

for an interpreter if you need.
