MODERNIZE HÄRNÖSAND!VOTE GREEN ON SEPTEMBER 19 TH

HÄRNÖSAND – A MINIATURE METROPOLIS

We live in a historical centre for culture, commerce and administration, wheresea, land and people from all over theglobe still meet. We need to highlightand emphasize on our strenghts, theclose vicinity that gives the time to fullylive, the openness that enables growth, the rich culture that improves the qua-lity of life and the beautiful nature thatgives resources and time to rest.

We want to improve the civil dialo-gue and make an attempt with a bud-get formed by the citizens ofHärnösand, a budget that we can allfeel apart of and that will make us am-bassadors of our Härnösand - a mini-ture Metropol.

A REAL ECO MUNICIPALITY

The climate crisis is real and we knowthat the things that are good for the en-

vironment today will be prosperous to-morrow. Härnösand has been callingitself an ecological city since 2005 butthings are progressing to slowly.

We want to wholeheartedly invest inorganic procurements, Fairtrade, com-postation of household wastes, avai-lable bicycle paths, busses, localtrains, double capacity to Stockholmand a sustainable city planning.Wewant to create green jobs by investingin renewable energy and harnessinglocal recources and production. Rec-reation and protecting the natureshould be guiding principles in the citysforestry and no one should get a carteblanche from the environmental juris-diction.

SOLIDARITY AND FELLOWSHIP

The open and multi-cultural societyhas made us richer - both culturally, socially and economically. We need tobecome even better at integrating theresources that immigrating residentsare contributing, such as entrepre-neurship, language skills, new experi-ences and culture. Härnösand shouldhave a welcoming attitude, become aknowledge center for young unaccom-panied refugees and create a culture-SFI.

Härnösand. The working environmentand our employees is something thatwe need to take seriously. Our emp-loyees are our most important re-source and should be viewed as a longterm investment.

INFORMATION SOCIETY IN THE SERVICE OF THE

CITIZEN

Information technology prompts us toraise questions about personal integ-rity, copyright laws and who controlsthe IT-structure. It creates huge possi-bilities but the power of the digital in-frastructure should not be in the handsof major coorporations and institutions

of surveilence. The rules must bebased off of the interest of the people. We want to use internet as a tool tocreate a better dialogue with the pe-ople. The internet should not be limitedto a few services, force people to use acertain system or register the activitiesof the users when it is not needed. It isimportant to create space for the pe-ople who are hurt by the the technologyas well.

CULTURE CREATES JOBS!The culture is incredibly important, notonly to our well being, but also for eco-nomic growth. Culture is one of the lar-gest exporst industries of Sweden. Wesee great potential in expanding theculture and eco-turism of Härnösand. We have the ocean, incredible surroun-dings, many cunning entrepreneursand speak many languages. By marke-ting ourselves as the Gate to the HighCoast, highlighting local specialties, our rich culture, our open attitude andour strive to create a sustainable so-ciety we can create a lot of longtermjobs.

We want culture to be readily avai-lable to everyone and to be a part ofevery childs upbringing. The School ofCulture should be available to morepeople. We should aid both organiza-tions and individual artists. Peoplefrom other contries culture should be-come a part of the culture of Härnö-sand.

We want to create availability and equalrights in practice, not just in writing –regardless of age, origin, handicap, gender or sexuality. The municipality’scompany boards should have equal re-presentation of both genders. Thereshould be resources for both female-and male oriented help centers as wellas centers for the people who sufferfrom mental disease. The elderyshould have the right to good serviceand well-cooked meals. Härnösandshould be a safe city to live in. All child-ren should have the right to a safechildhood and the should get all thehelp they need in school. We need tocreate security for troubled youths andinternships and jobs should be a pos-sibility. We want to offer all municipalityemployees the choice of working parttime.

SCHOOL CREATES THE FUTURE

The most important thing in school in

order to receive results is motivation.Students of all ages have to feel wel-come and at home in their school, inc-luding students with unordinary skillsor needs. Therefor we want to create aschool that fully uses the competenceof our teachers and that listens to stu-dents and parents. We want to recreate“School-city” Härnösand. We believe ina diverse school that has the opportu-nity to have its own profile. The cafete-ria food should be well-cooked, organicand produced locally. A good schooland preschool is an important factor increating an attractive place to live.

We want to encourage the universityto expand. It makes sense to includeenergy education, international stud-ies, archiving and native language tea-chers in Härnösand.

SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS AND GOOD LEA-DERSHIP

The investments we make today createthe society of tomorrow. We want to di-rect Härnösand into a m ore interes-ting, alive and organic future.Investments should be focused on ef-fectivization of the energy use, loweringcosts and improving the municipalitesfreedom to act on its own. The munici-pality should not invest in private faci-lities or pay for what should be anational responsibility, such as a newE4. Large investments on sport facili-ties should be debated openly.

We see the need of a clear, respon-sible and communicative leadership in
