description
For most of Joshua Komisarjevsky’s life, he had been a career criminal, which is why his daughter never knew her father outside of prison walls until he was parolled in April 2007. In May of 2007, the newly paroled Komisarjevsky strolled into New Britain Family Court wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet and obtained sole custody of his 5-year old child with the help of Connecticut’s Department of Corrections. Not two months later, Komisarjevsky was arrested for the triple homicide of the Petit family. Komisarjevsky was just one of the State's many "Responsible Fathers" who received state sponsored assistance in the family courts.
