Brakes are hydraulic and maintenance free.
Bronze alloy guides on blade andcircle provide long service life.
Operator comfort is a priority with a low noiseenvironment, excellent visibility with slim beam andpost, and well positioned air conditioner vents.
The rear compartment is slantedfor good backward visibility.
The locking torque converter gives smooth starts and stops, andallows for versatile utilization.
Cummins M11-Cturbocharged diesel provides168 kW 225 HP fordemanding applications.
Access to all necessary engineitems is easy with wide, hingedcompartment doors.
Tire spin is reduced with the manuallock/unlock differential.
The GD750A-1 operator’s compartment offers an excellent view of the work area, as well as
the surrounding environment. Both the top and bottom of the front tires are visible, along with
the edge of the blade. This is made possible by utilizing a simplified blade suspension system,
ample glass area, and a compact front panel in the cab. Looking to the side, almost the entire
profile of the front fender tire is visible. A frameless door with large glass areas and thin columns
contribute to keep the view open. To the rear you can see the ripper shank, rear fender tire,
and tandem case thanks to the ample glass area and slanted rear compartment.
Full Hydraulic Controls
The full hydraulic controls are of great importance to the
operator. These levers allow activation of hydraulic functions
with a very short stroke less than 25 mm 1", with very low
effort. This is accomplished without the need for pilot controls
so the operator feels he is part of the hydraulic system,
gaining precise control such as finish grading. Also, the
control levers are positioned in the “industry standard
arrangement” for ease of operation by the operator who
may have run more than one brand of motor grader.
Easy-to-Read Gauges
Large, easy-to-read gauges are conveniently located in
the compact control console of the GD750A-1. Warning
lights and sounds supplement the gauge information. The
Message Center displays self-diagnostic system data and
can record system abnormalities for over 999 hours.
Adjustable Control Console
The control console is adjustable to the operators
preference and to facilitate entry and exit from the cab.
The steering wheel also tilts to the operators preference.
There are handrails on both sides of the cab so the operator
need not grasp the steering wheel when entering the cab.
Air Conditioner
Well-positioned air conditioner vents keep the operator
comfortable through a wide range of outside conditions.
In the summer, the operator can get a cold airflow towards
his/her back even when the front lower window is opened.

Converter Drive:Designed to Provide Power and Performance on the Job Site
Komatsu Has It Now
Torque converter drive is a natural for
graders. Komatsu has it now. You’ll do far
less shifting because the torque converter
allows you to work from a full stop to the
gear range maximum speed. You can
control ground speed with the foot throttle.
Just select a gear range and go to work.
Yes, it’s different. But you’ll find it easier.
Maximum Effort
The torque converter provides a major
benefit in tractive effort (also called drawbar
pull). It multiplies engine torque and delivers
it into the power train when needed. So, the
GD750A-1 has a high tractive effort which
allows it to perform amazingly well, even
at low ground speed. You can move a full
blade from a standing start…ideal when
working in congested areas. You have plenty
of torque to power through axle-deep mud,
torque to push a full load when spreading,
torque to drive the ripper through the
toughest materials.

POWER TRAIN

GD750A-1MOTOR GRADER
The full power shift transmission lets
operators work more efficiently with less
effort. While in the first four gears, the
transmission always works through the
torque converter, reducing driveline shock.
This allows the GD750A-1 to utilize the
maximum drawbar pull from a complete stop
all the way to the maximum speed. Frequent
gear shifting due to load variance is eliminated,
allowing the operator to concentrate on blade
control without fear of killing the engine, and
making smooth starts and stops easy.
The torque converter also provides effort-
less inching capability with a fully modulated
inching pedal. When working in gears 5–8,
the transmission automatically shifts to a
direct drive lock-up. It helps to save fuel
consumption especially when driving a
long distance or snow plowing.
Quick Hydraulic Response for FineGrading…Even at Low Engine Speed
The GD750A-1 features a pressure-flow
compensated, load sensing hydraulic
system saving fuel and reducing heat.
Its variable displacement piston pump
gives instant response even at low engine
speeds providing the fine grading control
you expect on a high production grader.
Power Train—Versatile Transmission
The Most VersatileMoldboardGeometry in the BusinessKomatsu graders boast the industry’s most versatilemoldboard geometry. Save timeand money when pulling ditchesby throwing the windrow to theright, not into the roadway—without narrowing the road bed.No extra machines or crew areneeded to pick up the windrow. It’s made possible by Komatsu’sextraordinary reach. Plus, there isgenerous clearance between theheel of the blade and the main-frame, even with the toe sharplyangled down. You get all the reach you pay for.
Extra-long lift cylinders let themoldboard reach an astounding 30.5 inches below grade.
Superior Serviceability

EASYMAINTENANCE
EASYMAINTENANCE
The GD750A-1 offers maximum up time through its advanced self-diagnostic systems,
and its ease of maintenance and service. The diagnostic systems monitor over 60 functions
throughout the machine and can record system abnormalities for over 999 hours of system
operation for later. The all-hydraulic brake system provides greater reliability in cold weather,
fewer required inspections, and lower maintenance costs. Access to the engine is easy
through double-hinged hoods, where the transmission and oil checks are easily
accessed, along with all filters.
Message Center
The message center monitors the transmission and engine
functions with computer sensors. There are six modes
available with ability to scroll through mode selections.
The six modes are: Automatic, rpm (tachometer), Gear
Position, Errors (20–904), Illumination (brightness of display,
in 25% incurment), Revision (software used to calibrate
sensing computer—Funk then Vansco).
