CAT primarily aimed at ensuring erosion control in draining catchment
Management interventions were selected considering
Area of watershed
Geological formation
Intensity of rainfall
Draining density
Discharge
Slope
Aspect
Land use/ cover
sediment production rate
Erosion intensity determination done through erosion intensity
method considering erosion intensity more than 1 tonne/ acre/year

A centralised office will be established in Bilashpur forcoordinating the field works
A team of investigators from civil engg, forestry andsociology background will be deputed for field work
About 30% of the field work will be conducted /supervised by the core team members
Geographical coordinates of plantation sites will berecorded through GPS instrument and compared
PRA will be conducted through checklist of issues andmapping of the areas will be made for pre and postintervention status
