1 LEED Certification from USGBC [CIVIL]

1. LEED is the internationally recognized certification program

MISSION 3A : Career Counselling Program for 10th & +2 students

+2 Career Counselling program is organized every year in the month of April.

Industry experts from concern Department will address the gathering and also answer to the participant quires.

Every year around 1000 Students and their parents come and make benefit of it. Last year 2768 students and their parents have registered for this event held on 03.04.2016. Out of which 1074 students and their parents have participated and got benefited.

It one of the biggest career courselling program at Salem District Level.

3 MISSION 3A : Score 200/200 in Mathematics

Score 200/200 in maths program is organized in association with Tamilnadu PG maths teachers association for +2 students who are studying maths as major subject.

The program is organized every year in January, Since 2011.

But in this year the program was organized both January and September based on the request made by school students.

Every year around 1200 students take part in this program. In this year, the program was held on 24th & 25th September’2016. Around 2558 students and maths teachers participated for the full day in this event from 52 schools in and around the districts such as Salem, Namakkal and Erode.

Maths teacher who are having good experience in maths teaching and books written for +2 maths have been the resource person.

4 Knowledge Fest

The program is organized for school students (8th standard to 12th standard) at Salem and nearby districts.

Various competitions are conducted to bring out Innovation and creativity among the students.

The program is organized during November / December each year since Academic year 2014-15.

The program was held on 20.10.2016. Around 727 students from 43 schools from 5 districts have participated.

Prizes are given for each competition and overall championship is provided for the school.

Total No. of prizes are 33, and the total prize money is Rs.2.00 Lakhs.

5 EMPOWER 1000f [CII-KIOT-KBSS FDP]

CII-Salem chapter and Skill Development Cell of KIOT and KBSS, jointly organize skill enhancement programme titled “Personal Effectiveness to Organization Excellence” for college teachers, polytechnic teachers and school teachers.

The purpose of this programme is to enhance the skill sets of teachers for betterment of the organization and society at large.

As an Institutional Social Responsibility KIOT and KBSS is proud to organize such programme in the interest of all stakeholders.

So for, we have organized 10 programmes for college teachers and 366 teachers benefitted. 02 programme for polytechnic teachers and 60 Teachers benefitted, 02 programme for school teachers and 60 Teachers benefitted

6 EDC-NSDC

National Skill Development Corporation took a skill development program under the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship.

The purpose of the program is to educate the various skill sets to the unemployed youths across India.

KIOT is the one of the epic centre for providing a various skills to be local unemployed youths.

Through this mission so far KIOT has trained 900 youths in the nearby region by various skills like setup box training, instore promotor, sales association etc.,

7 MoU with PTC colleges [EEE]

Knowledge Institute of Technology has planned to sign MoU with 10 Polytechnic colleges as a part of KIOT’s Institutional Social Responsible(ISR) activities. We have signed 04 Polytechnics so far with the following objectives:

To improve the quality of polytechnic college faculty

To enhance the technical skills and knowledge of polytechnic college students

To share the infrastructure, research facilities and library resources on need basis

To improve interactions between Institutions for better development of this region

Through this MoU, the activities such as Faculty Development Programme, Career Awareness Programme, Personal and Skill Development Programme, Talent Reward Examinations (TRE) etc are being conducted for faculty and students of polytechnic colleges.

Out of the above mentioned activities, the following is the details of TRE - 2016.

KIOT has been recognized as a host institution (HI) to carry out business incubator (BI) by ministry of MSME under the scheme “Support for entrepreneurial and managerial development of SME’s through incubator”.

We applied for the incubation to the MSME, Govt. of India on 12. 02.16 and they called for presentation on 27.07.16. After the

A pleasant morning to all. I am very pleased to welcome our Chief Guests, President, Vice-President Treasurer and Trustees of Knowledge Institute of Technology Trust, beloved Principal, Vice Principal, Administrative Director, Director Knowledge Business School, Directors of Placement & Training, Head of the Departments, Colleagues and my dear Students. I feel delighted to stand before you to present a report of Major Sports Activities conducted in the Year 2016-17.

ANNA UNIVERSITY ZONAL LEVEL & DISTRICT LEVEL TOURNAMENTS ORGANIZED IN OUR COLLEGE

1 Anna University Zone VII Volleyball Tournament for women on 23rd August 2016. Totally 8 colleges (96 Players) participated in this Tournament.

2 Anna University Zone VII Table Tennis Tournament for Men & Women on 19th August 2016. Totally 14 (5+9) colleges (70 Players) participated in this Tournament.

3 2nd KIOT Trophy – 2016, School Level Salem District Football (Boys) Tournament 2016-2017 was held on 06th & 07th January 2017. Totally 12 Schools (240 Players) Participated in this Tournament.

IN CAMPUS SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR KIOT

We have conducted the following Sports Day Activities for Boys:

Football, Volleyball, Handball, Ball Badminton, Basketball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Table tennis, Carom, Chess and Athletics: (100mts, 200mts 400mts, 800mts, 1500mts, 4x100mts Relay, discus, and Shot Put Throw).

And For Girls:

Basketball, Throw Ball, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Hand Ball, Football, Tenni Coit, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess and Athletics: (100mts, 200mts, 400mts, 4x100mts Relay, discus, and Shot Put Throw).

2nd KIOT Premier League (KPL):

The KIOT Premier League Players will be selected through proper selection trails.

Then the selected players will be divided into 6 teams. [Sea, Sky, Earth, Sun, Air, Moon]

The match for them will be conducted in a league system.

There will be 10 matches in odd semester & 5 matches in even semester.

The top 2 teams who secured more points will participate in the final match will be

conducted separately.

The Winners & Runners will be awarded with Certificates & Prizes.
