mystery as the enchanting landscape surrounding the kund is in stark

contrast with a pile of several skeletal bones found there. An international

team did uncover the mystery, revealing to us that those skeletal remains

are of pilgrims from 850 AD, who faced an unusual severe hail storm

which killed hundreds of them. The Roopkund trek takes you through

the remote parts of Chamoli district in Garhwal and has adventure,

beautiful landscapes and mystery, all waiting for you!

Day 01: Kathgodam - Lohajung(2130m) 9hr DriveThe trip will start from Kathgodam Railway Station with a morning pick up at 7.00 AM. Wewill drive from Kathgodam to Lohajung, with the rivers Ganga and Alaknanda keeping uscompany till we turn right for the Pinder valley and along with beautiful Kumaon mountainsvia Almora and Kausani. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 02: Lohajung - Didana(2550m) 5-6 hr TrekThe first day of the trek will introduce you to a mixed forest with diverse birds, playfulstreams which will give you the ‘Himalayan bite,’ the sting you get from cold streams andthe village life of those living in this terrain. The 5 hour trek will take you downhill and thenuphill, before we reach the campsite above Didana village where we will spend the night intents.

Day 03: Didana – Ali Bugyal(3150m) 6-7 hr TrekA steady ascent through thick oak forests will bring us to the alpine grazing meadows, calledAli bugyal. It is the ideal place to take a break and let the vastness of the meadow, the clearsky and the enchanting view of the Trishul peak consume you with peace and happiness.Here, the stunning views of the Garhwal Himalayas ranges appears as ahead to you. Arriveat the finest camping site of Himalayas. Overnight stay in tants.

Day 04: Ali Bugyal – Ghora Lotani (3650m) 4-5 hr TrekToday’s trek is easy compare to the last day. We will trek to Ghora Lotani passing BedniBugyal with grazing pastures, unending open views and the view of the Trishul and NandaGhunti peaks. After Few hours of walk you will be on the other side of range and the view isfantastic from here. Arriving at Ghora Lotani, which also a beautiful campsite as Ali Bugyalin this Roopkund trek. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 05: Ghora Lotani – Bhagubasa (4100m) / 7-8 hr TrekThe trek begins with climbing the meadow slopes, up to the ridges to the Kaluvinayakshrine which will reveal to us the most memorable views of the Neelkanth, Chaukhambhaand Hathi peaks. The remaining part of the trek and snow will depend on the season we goin. A bit of rocky terrain for a short distance will kead us to the desolated campsite atBhugubasa, where we will experience slight breathing difficulty but we will get used to itsoon. Overnight in tents.


Day 06: Bhagubasa - Roopkund & Jurangali(5029m)– Bedni Bugyal / 7-8 hr

If you have been looking forward to adventure, this day is going to be full of it as it will testyour stamina and will give you tricky challenges to overcome. An early start will ensure thatwe reach the lake in around 3 hours. The guides will help you during tricky sections andthere is a possibility that there are steep climbs and the trail is covered in a 9-10 month oldsnow. We will climb through rock gardens, moraine and snow patches before we reach themysterious lake. If there isn’t too much snow around the lake, you will get to see the humanbones and skeletons. Roopkund is in a crater like formation in the mountains and the viewis spectacular. It is worth all the hardwork that got us there! One has the option of climbingup a short distance onto the Jurangali, about 20 minutes from the lake and after clickingmany victory pictures, we will go back to our campsite at Bedni Bugyal where we will stayovernight, in tents.

Day 07: Bedni Bugyal – Wan (2550m) 4-5 hrToday’s trek will seem like a cakewalk compared to what we did yesterday andyou will enjoy the trek back to Wan as you walk through Pine, Rhododendronand Oak jungles. On reaching Wan, we will visit the village temple and rest.Overnight in Tents.

Day 08 : Wan – Kathgodam 7-8 hrTrek down through jungles of pine, rhododendron & oak to reach Wan, avillage you are sure to fall in love with. Visit the village temple and rest forsome time. Our trek will end here and we will board the vehicles which arewaiting for us to drive down to Kathgodam. Arrive around 8 pm at kathgodam.The trip ends here.

trekking excellence. We do trekking in small groups (not more than 12), so

can manage batter services along with a team of guides and porters with

mule. The porters along with one guide travel in front of the pack to ensure

Area under roof breathablepolyester double prevents water droplets resulting fromcondensation, which is deposited on the inner face ofthe double roof. The ventilation element in the spareone and two ventilation parts on both sides of the entryto limit condensation and air fresheners.

This sleeping bag is comfortable in temperature -5°C/Limittemperature 11°C & Can be twinned to sleep 2 people.

Link a right zip bag to a left zip bag. Inner fabric: 100%polyamide. Outer fabric: 100% polyester insert: 100%polyamide and wadding: 100% polyester.
