Choose right study material
It is a common misconception that
preparing from different books will help
them score good marks. But the reality is
referring too many books could lead to
confusion. Hence do not run behind
multiple books to prepare for JEE Main.
Students should choose books that cover
entire JEE Main 2016 syllabus.
Create a time table
Six months is a good amount of time to
successfully crack JEE Main 2016, if you are
punctual and dedicated. These final
months are important for every aspirant
and a proper plan is needed for the
preparation. You should create a time
table to devote time to each subject as per
your strengths and weaknesses. Students
are advised to work as per the time table.
The plan should also include frequent
study breaks which will help you keep your
mind fresh and body energetic.
Manage your time correctly
In order to perform well in the entrance
exam you should have a proper time
management plan. You should decide well
in advance how much time you are going to
give on each subject, based on your strong
and weak areas. Time management is
important. If you start and learn to manage
the time systematically and efficiently
most of the problems are solved.
Solve previous year’s question paper
One of the best ways to prepare for JEE is
by referring to and solving previous
question papers or mock tests. It
familiarizes you with the JEE Main paper
pattern. Below are the reasons to use
previous year’s question papers:
Improves your speed and accuracy.
Gives you an idea of the paper
pattern, type of question to expect
and an estimate of the difficulty
level of the paper.
The paper doesn’t generally carry
direct questions. Usually the
questions are framed in such a way
that it requires you to apply
multiple concepts to find the
answer. Solving paper gives you an
idea of such questions.
Helps you make your preparation
strategy.

JEE Main 2016 Important Topics & Books A right study material plays an important
role while preparing for any entrance
examination. It is the key to success in
final exam.
JEE Main and Advanced 2016 examinations
will be held in April and May respectively.
According to the latest information, JEE
Advanced is likely to be held on Sunday,
May 22, 2016.
With just few months left for both the
exams, it is suggested that aspirants should
not start preparing using any new book at
this stage. One must refer a good and
comprehensive study material for concept
clearing. During this period one should
focus more on problem solving, memorizing
formula, making short notes and assessing
strengths and weaknesses.
According to Nitesh Salvi, Director,
Plancess “Aspirants should solve mock tests
and previous year’s question papers to
improve problem solving speed and
accuracy, and develop one’s self-
confidence. One should also learn how to
manage time while writing the final
exam.”
