ADVERTISERS NEEDEDAn inexpensive way to support the council newsletter. Do you know

someone with a business? Ask them. Call Dennis, 309-825-2589 for details. We

need to tell our advertisers that you saw their ad in our Newsletter, so they know

    their ad is noticed. Thanks

Please Pay Your DuesDues are due January 1st, 2021

We hope that everyone will pay promptly and have their dues paid by Jan 31st. Dues

Notices were sent out Dec 15th,. If you have not paid your dues for last year, PLEASE do

so real soon. Supreme is a real stickler in requiring us to bill you and to report that you have not paid your dues for last year. We are required to start the DROP you from Mem-

bership if you have not paid after the 2nd bill-ing, The Council, Mike, does another billing

before starting the required Drop Process. But you can still STOP that by paying your LATE

dues soon. Dues should be mailed to Mike Tomlianovich, 1714 Tompkins Dr, Normal

    61761-2432 Thank You.

QUEEN OF HEARTS Game: Still Delayed

When the club is truly open, we plan to restart this.

    RReach out and ask someone

to join the K of C!

MEMBERSHIPDid you know that you can now get a prospective member to become a

Knight by having them join the K of C by going thru an ONLINE ceremony. They can also sign up online and then they would do the full ceremony with

us at a Council meeting. Much simpler and shorter than what each of us

has gone through to be a 3rd Degree member.

COVID-19Because of the latest rulings from the Governor about the Pandemic, we are "following the rules like we have been.

Please have your face mask with you and wear it. We will be 'Closed' just like we have

    been so far". Thank You

This is YOUR NEWSLETTER Please feel free to make suggestions for content, please respond to our requests for input, if you know of someone that is sick or has had an

accident, or possibly someone who has died please let me know and we can list them on our prayer list in this newsletter and on the Board at the club. 309-825-2589. Please DO NOT assume that someone else will let us know, take it upon yourself to call with name and date of death. PLEASE remember that we are always looking for new members, ask your son, your brother, your neighbor, or co-worker, to join the K of C.

Remember, a lot of the time we hear this" Why aren't you a member of the K of C? Because NO ONE EVER ASKED ME TO JOIN". We have a good record going so far this year in getting new members, let's keep it going. Set a goal for yourself, ask men to join and ask until you have 3

    new members for 2021.

Poster ContestThe Contest being held with St Mary's School kids was delayed by the Covid Pandemic but an update will be in the

February newsletter. Thank you for your patience.

Tinker Meals;Until we know that we

    can actually DO TINKER

    MEALS THIS INFO WILL

    BE LEFT OUT

The Holiday season has come and is about gone. WE hope that everyone remained safe and healthy and that the New Year will bring better times for all of us. AS the December newsletter got so delayed and not ready to be sent out until so late in the

month, WE CHOSE to not PAY TO MAIL it. But we owe you all an explanation. James Bergeron and wife were TRANSFERRED out of state so James is not doing the newsletter any more. James did leave this message; "I would like to Thank ev-

eryone for the kindness they have shown me while I was part of the council. And to Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." The newsletter has a large

cost each month to pay for printing and postage and the mail prep. With these Pandemic times, the Council / Club has very little income. And add to that, the

newsletter would not have been delivered to you until Dec 21st. That didn't justify the cost. But we do need to consider that; WE NEED TO KEEP YOU INFORMED AND we need to remember that our advertisers pay for advertising, so you need to get the newsletter. So, PLEASE HELP US by providing your email address, nearly

2/3rds of you have not given us your email. As our cost monthly is over $200 to print and mail and as we have NO INCOME now, it is imperative that we reduce

    this expense. Thank you

VOCATION RAFFLE The Vocation Raffle is over, the drawing

was to be Dec 5th, while I do not have the final numbers from Mike

Tomlianovich, he is able to tell us that he sent 126 vocation raffle books to the

state. And we get $9 of each book, so that means that we get $1134 for your efforts.

We usually put these dollars towards our Seminarian support, where we give promising seminarians a helping hand with checks at Christmas and /or Easter to help them with their expenses. Mike

also says that there were some Donations marked for this cause. A final Report

will be in the February newsletter.

News & Upcoming Events• Face to Face Council meetings are cautiously happening now, but we are still also doing them ONLINE at the same time. • Look for your name somewhere in this newsletter to win a free Tinker’s meal. The winning paid up council member name will appear in

an out-of-place location. Read your Knight’s Notes; look for your name; win a free Tinker’s meal. Not this Month. • We are ever hopeful that things will begin to change for the better and we can start to make plans for future events, getting back to a

somewhat normal life.Still hoping for the GK Report and Ladies Auxil piece soon. I guess leave similar spaces, to what we have in the Dec newsletter for their reports
