Recently, Xculture seems like a hot emerging trend in our LC. Everybody talks about Exchange. In every LCM we have Exchange culture part. In every team meeting we have Exchange training.

Exchange everywhere, everywhen.

People talk more and more about going Exchange. There are more and more members like Exchange post on Facebook. Everybody are happy with exchange culture.

There is just a small point left: What is Exchange culture?

Yes, the answer may simple be: the combination of EXCHANGE and CULTURE

Culture is the full range of learned human behavior patterns. These shared patterns identify the Culture is the full range of learned human behavior patterns. These shared patterns identify the members of a culture group while also distinguishing those of another group. When you dance Aiesec dance, you know you enjoy Aiesec culture. When you write sugar cube for a lovely teammate, you are in AIESEC culture.

Then, why not build Exchange as one of our valuable culture?

One value has to have a long long journey to be a “culture”. We also need time to make Exchange be our culture. But the time starts right NOW. We has talked enough. Now it’s time to take action. To make Exchange be your real mindset.

You talk about Exchange everyday, but once there are Interns going to LCM, nobody approach them. They just came and leaved.

You WOM for GCDP everyday, but you don’t believe in the impact it makes. You WOM for GCDP everyday, but you don’t believe in the impact it makes.

You tell your friends to go Exchange, but you don’t know how the benet that the Internship offers to students align with their future.

Exchange culture team was born for this reason. We are two beautiful girls from OGX, with a big dream of building Exchange culture in our LC.

But. Can we have X-culture just with those two gorgeous OGX girls?

Nope. All together. We makes Exchange culture.

Via this channel, we hope to bring you deeper insight about Exchange, and bring you Via this channel, we hope to bring you deeper insight about Exchange, and bring you Exchange experience from Returnees and burn in you the Exchange re.

You are the ite o ou life

I was ever Exchange Manager and kept saying that Exchange would be a life-changing experience without knowing how it would change. Now I can make sure that it is 100 % true.

II have felt like stepping out of my comfort zone and into a different world where people around me speak different languages and have different culture of working or living. It is the place where I got lost and did not know what to do. It is the place where I got into a noodle store and picked up a cup of beer just because I did not understand the language. It is the place where I did challenge by catching a train by myself and kept going. Now I know that I am so small in this world. Exchange is not to relax but in fact it is to challenge.

JustJust imagine how God was kidding me when I lost my passport at Hong Kong Aiport at my rst time going abroad by plane. I was fucking cold and lonely at that time and received a scarf from a Chinese girl.I talked with her all that night and we are now friends. From 700 friends on facebook, now I have nearly 800 friends. I do not tell you guys about how popular I am but I am telling out about the network. I will never have to worry if I come back Japan because at least I have a close friend in Japan now. And maybe he can help me to nd a CEEDership, a conference, a trip or even a job if I want to come back Japan again. There is nono guarantee but if I did not go in this Internship, I could not have it. Mou- from the UK - said that he will host me when I come to the Europe. I am small in this world but Exchange in AIESEC helps me know that the world is not so big and AIESEC create this network. The problem is how you know to create and use the network.

I have been enjoying every single moment of my life in my Internship. I keep discovering and becoming bigger. This Exchange has changed my thoughts and my plan. Exchange is not only about changing yourself but more than that you are saying to the world that you can make an impact on it. This Internship has changed my life plan. Exchange is not my choice anymore. It is my responsibility. I have an intention of going Exchange next summer. Maybe I will go on 2 more Internships. I set a goal now and I will not try it, but I will fulll it. You may say that you do not have money to go. The problem is ̀ Have you wanted to you?̀, ̀ Have you set a goal for youself?̀ and ̀Have you tried to fulll that goal?̀. I went Exchange and I did not ask my parents for a single pence. I did partime job, kept saving money, or asking for friend̀s support. I may get into debt but then everything can be solved. Just go for it!. I may get into debt but then everything can be solved. Just go for it!.

If you think that you have enough now, you are wrong. You think that you are talented because you have taken various leadership positions or getting high scores at the university? You are day-dreaming. Because you are nothing when you are in another world. So repare your luggage now and keep going to become a better you.

September is the time when school children head back to school after the long Summer holidays. The heat of summer begins to give way to a more comfortable Autumn climate. In Japan, it's also the time when you look up to the moon to see the rabbits making rice cakes there. In order to know more about their national custom, we did have a small talk with Ms. Natsumi - our intern in the Global Citizen Project, which made us feel really fascinated by her beloved country then.

AccordingAccording to Japanese Folklore, when an old man begged for food, the monkey gathered fruits from the trees and the otter collected sh, while the jackal wrongfully pilfered a lizard and a pot of milk-curd. The rabbit, who knew only how to gather grass, instead offered its own body, throwing itself into a re the man had built. The rabbit, however, was not burnt. The old man rabbit, however, was not burnt. The old man revealed himself to be touched by the rabbit's virtue, drew the likeness of the rabbit on the moon for all to see. It is said the lunar image is still draped in the smoke when the rabbit cast itself into the re. An otter, a jackal, and a rabbit resolved to practice charity on the day of the full moon, believing a demonstration of great virtue would earn a great reward.would earn a great reward.

Besides, September in Japan is also called 'Typhoon' month. You may be lucky to avoid one but they do roll in. Typhoon bring torrential rain, ooding and high winds. Sometimes this means shinkansen & local train lines are disrupted or cancelled but life still rolls on & you can still go sightseeing and do stuff. You'll just get wet when your umbrella turns insideinside out or blows down the street, don't forget to let go or you may go with it !

On managing to get the world built, the God put people who have a strong belief and courage in such a dangerous place to let shine the virtue within themselves. Through generations, Japanese have learnt how to cope with these natural grits: Typhoon, tsunami, earthquake,...; their outstanding prosperity over so many years reminds us of the lesson about fortitude among human-beings:

“Life s o abou waitin f a t to a. I’ learnin to ance the i.”
