We are very pleased and proud of the fantastic year we have had, which can be
summarised in a single term: SUPER COOL. We are particularly grateful to consumers,
who are appreciating our products more and more. We now find ourselves in a fabulous flow, with buyers purchasing a broader and
more extensive range of products, consumers buying more and & klevering operating in
top gear. A win-win situation for everyone! This encourages us to ensure that 2014 is once again a super cool year.
You have before you the new catalogue: The ‘& klevering kick-off’ for the 2014 Spring |Summer season. This season, we are high-
lighting three trends that we hope will inspire you: Artificial Nature, Graphic & Mixing Colour and Pop of Pink. Get inspired!
This issue also highlights our Special Projects department, including private labels and our collaboration with department stores,
museums and retail shops with own brands. Naturally, we also cover Social Media and
once again have a number of summer tips for a visit to our home base in Amsterdam. But, above all, this magazine shows you our prod-
ucts, both new and familiar. Also make sure to take a look at our updated website, which now contains up-to-date inventory overviews,
product films and a user-friendly webshop for easy ordering.We hope to see our products in shop win-

This theme is all about nature and animals and how to create the perfect natural finishing touch in your home. Spring is just around the corner and that means time to update your interior. Organic shapes, natural elements and animals are decor and fashion favourites. Most impor-tantly, these decor items are fun and fresh for the upcoming summer season! They include colourful oversized cactus items, as well as porcelain items like birds and butterflies, all in bright colours.

2. GrAphic & mixinG colour
This season features strong graphic trends. Sharp, bold geometrics are essential for making a state-ment. Alternatively, thin linear hand-drawn lines go together brilliantly with bold, well-defined graphics and vibrant, saturated colours, like on our tin cans. Also included are print-covered lamp shades and summer graphic melamine plates and glasses. Colours range from clashing, bold and bright to monochrome and minimalist.

3. pop of pink!
Dotted, unexpected pink accents are peppered throughout the spring collections. This pop of colour brightens neutrals and softens sporty and edgy looks. Add a few pink items to your home or combine them with other colours. One thing is for certain: pink is not just for girls anymore. With the right item, pink can have an amazing effect. Pop of your own pinks!

Special projectSWe’ve earned quite a reputation for ourselves around the world with our products. As a result of this success (which naturally we are proud of), we are often approached by department stores, museums and retail shops with own brands to design and produce prod-ucts together with them. Since we have expe-rience with a broad range of products in a variety of materials (like porcelain, wax, melamine and glass), knowledge of pro-duction techniques and a very creative team, we feel we are in our element with these projects. Some clients have a clear and distinct request, while others prefer to develop a design in collaboration.

about freelancing is that the work is based on a ‘request’, even if that request is not entirely clear. In fact, it is this vagueness that I found so challenging and inspiring.
So you find nothing odd about a re-queSt like the one from & klevering? No, not one bit! This kind of request sets me on a journey and I draw from a mix of impres-sions and amazement. I also consider things from various perspectives. I’m very interested in architecture, for example, but you can be touched in so many ways by so many differ-ent things, all of which leave behind impres-sions… So the answer to that question is actu-ally quite simple.

And with a great deal of pleasure. I’m now also working on a glass series for & klevering. Incidentally, I do much more than just illustrate. I also decorate ceramics, I’ve done a number of children’s picture books (including Poes op reis, 2008), and I’m do-ing ‘construction work’ at our farm in France, which means pouring concrete, grouting and plastering. What I like most is to come up with solutions to problems as they arise. Nice and concrete!
