When was she born?Kaluli was born in February 2008.
What does she eat?Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroos mainly eat leaves and fruits butoccasionally eat small birds and eggs. At Perth Zoo, Kaluli eatstree and plant branches (we call this browse). Her keepers alsooffer her fruit and vegetables in the mornings, with avocado beinga favourite!
More about KaluliKaluli is a very friendly and intelligent animal. She enjoys keepershand feeding her and stroking her back. She enthusiasticallyparticipates in training sessions with her keepers. Not only arethese sessions mentally stimulating to ‘Lulu’, but they also helpher keepers check her physical condition. If Kaluli has a joey inthe future, keepers will be able to monitor the progress of herjoey by taking a peek in her pouch!
