Security All voice, data and control traffic within the IP network is encrypted, and all radios are securely authenticated. You can remotely disable and re-enable a device if it is misplaced or stolen. Support of the DMR Association procedure for encryption transmission via the air interface with End-to-End encryption of voice and data using 128 or 256-bits AES cryptographic systems.

Kirisun DG800 Gateway Two Gateway cards are housed in a 1U 19” rack mount tray. Each card can control 2 audio streams between the Kirisun network and the Fylde Micro MPT system. Up to 12 units can be combined to provide 23 voice streams between the Kirisun DMR network and the MPT system. (Note one channel of one unit is always used for the MPT control port and cannot be used for voice).

The Kirisun Gateway converts analog voice signals and network data from within the legacy MPT system to digital data. This interchange allows calls and messaging to seamlessly flow between digital and analog systems. The gateway is equipped with hardware AMBE+2™ conversion modules to convert from native DMR voice frames to analogue audio and vice versa.

The Kirisun gateway provides the following features between the Kirisun DMR system and the Fylde Micro MPT system.

Migration from Analog to Digital with Kirisun Existing Fylde Micro MPT1327 system operators now have the option to connect and migrate seamlessly from their existing Fylde Micro infrastructure to a Kirisun DMR Tier III system.

Kirisun are proud to be Category One members of the Digital Mobile Radio Association.

The DMR Association maintains and oversees the standards that ensure that Digital Mobile Radios are interoperable across manufacturers. Kirisun can guarantee our diligence in working and complying with these standards.

Tier III covers trunking operation. This standard also specifies two-slot TDMA in 12.5kHz channels. It also supports voice and short message handling similar to MPT-1327 with built-in 128 character status messaging and short messaging up to 288 bits of data in a range of formats. Tier III also supports packet data service in a variety of formats.

Tier II is for users who require spectral efficiency, advanced voice features and integrated IP data services in licensed bands for high-power communications. Tier II specifies two-slot TDMA in 12.5kHz channels.

Class Leading Distributed Controller Software Architecture A major advantage of the Kirisun trunking systems over competitors is our distributed controller functionality using software not with additional hardware. In each of the DR600 transceivers is embedded software that enables each DR600 to act as a controller. If a DR600 transceiver acting as control fails, the next transceiver will automatically and seamlessly assume control of the site. The system will even fall back to a Tier II mode if other resources fail. This fail-safe functionality means that a Kirisun DMR System will always work, even in a lesser trunking mode.

Efficient Heat Management The unique cooling design of the DR600 combines a built-in heat pipe and three fans to ensure efficient heat dissipation, preventing the transceiver from over-heating, increasing reliablilty for when it really counts.
