PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE:
W elcome back!
We hope you all had a restful/productive break, de-
pending on your family’s goals! We are so excited to
be heading in to our third term, as there are so many
exciting projects on the horizon. Our courtyard transformation will
begin this month, which includes seating and green space, painting on
the black top, a mural by Megan Dulcie Dill and another carving lega-
cy project, this time with Ivan Rosypske. Students will be involved in
much of the painting, and the entire process will be filmed by Claudia
Medina and Devin Pielle. Also on the to do list is our Spring Carnival,
May 3rd at the Complex, more notice will be coming home for this
amazing fundraiser. And, of course, the countdown to May Day, May
16. We are so fortunate to have so many talented and enthusiastic par-
ents in our school community. We are looking forward to a memorable
third term!

THANK YOU!!!! to everyone who bought seeds from our “Great Green Fundraiser” we were able to raise
more than $650 for PAC sponsored activities and items. Here are some things that the PAC’s fundraising has
been helping out with at JT recently - purchasing dirt for Jessica Koop’s Spuds in Tubs program, supplying
yoga balls for Jacqueline Robinson/Michelle Shipley class, sports equipment for lunch time intermural,
French book subscriptions for some French classes, new jersey’s for the sports teams, wheelbarrow and hoses
for the garden, kitchen items, DIGS is continues to work on improving the grounds of the school and there is
more to come this Spring. Your contributions to any fundraiser are greatly appreciated.
We hope that the students are enjoying the hot lunch options that are available on Thursday’s as well as the
breakfast program that is available each morning.
The wigloo is taking shape and growing at JT, if you have not seen it yet stop by the playground and have a
look. The composters have been tended to this Spring Break and the system has expanded. The recovered
dirt has made its way into the garden beds. A wheelbarrow and some supplies have been purchased to help
with the maintenance of the garden. An annual maintenance plan is being developed to help everyone use the
garden with confidence and efficiency. We are looking for volunteers to help with the maintenance of the
garden as well as for some gardening supplies, if you can help with either of these please let us know at
The Spring Carnival is coming soon, we are collecting new and very gently used items that can be used as
prizes for the games and for the Lucky seven booth. Items you would like to donate can be dropped off at JT
or email [email protected] to arrange pick-up.
We are having a family movie night Friday April 11th in the JT gym. Bring the family (no unattended stu-
dents please), some blankets, pillows, and wear your favorite PJ’s. There will be popcorn, baking and drinks
for sale. More info to follow . . .
Our next PAC meeting is Thursday April 3rd at 6pm in the JT library, all parents and guardians are wel-
come to attend. We look forward to seeing you there.
