The King’s School West Rand provides a world class Christian education based on 4 pillars: Academics, Skills, Spiritual Formation and Biblical Worldview. Let’s take a look at what Biblical Worldview entails.

In its very basic form, Biblical Worldview is seeing with God's eyes. As kids learn at school, we tell them that it’s not about learning a bunch of random facts, but it’s about how we put those facts together in an all-encompassing Christian value paradigm.

Our students learn to consider the material covered in class in the context of:

1. Worshiping God’s incredible design of creation and his character reflected therein.2. Discerning idols that mankind developed or that we might develop within the topic being studied, like love of money, power, comfort, and anything that displaces God as our first priority.3. Seeking justice for the destitute and marginalised in the world and re-imagining a world where all can thrive.4. Stewarding the creation that God has entrusted to us with regards

to sustainable use of natural resources.5. Creating beauty out of brokenness (the mission of redemption that Christ has called us to).6. Discovering God's incredible order within processes and systems.7. Working as servants of God and the world ("for God so loved the world") to show his love and expand the Kingdom of God.8. Enjoying the gifts that God has given us in his creation and in his working all things for the good of us who are called according to his purposes.9. Building community with the shared purpose of doing everything as unto the Lord.10. Reflecting the image of God in the application of our learning.

Biblical Worldview recognises that God has called us to join him as active participants in his mission. We have a solemn responsibility to represent God for the benefit of God’s world, longing to see his image filling the world.

FUNIt’s not always easy to make Accounting come alive but the Grade 11’s had a fantastic time completing their assessment this term. They were required to manufacture their own muffins and do all the costing involved. They even had to add their own secret ingredient to make them special and marketable. Wow, some amazing muffins coming out of these kitchens. Well done Grade 11’s. We are super proud of you.
