We celebrate with Odis Young that his tests all came back negative!

Our VBS Explorers raised $92.50 to give to the Highland Blessing Dinners The congregation helped to bring their total offerings to $500.50! Congratulations and thank you!

JUST IN CASE YOU HAVE MISSED IT, I WANT TO BE SURE YOU READ THIS.

We need your help to be sure we have your address etc. correct in our 2015 year book. We also want every lady to be a part

of DWM (Disciples Women’s Ministry). We take ideas that will help projects and support the needs of our church and commu-

nity. We also need you and your donations to help us support the many needs ahead.

We realize times have changed and in many cases both MOMS and DADS are working; so give us what time you can and

please support us with monetary gifts. Both will help us meet our goals for 2015.

Some really great news… DWM is having a silent auction in September this year. All you will need to do is donate a really

nice item. We will need a price. Then we will take it from there. We hope to have many items for sale in the auction.

“The River” Join us July 26th and August 2nd for our continued story of “VBS Everest”.

Children’s Church The Worship & Wonder topic for July 26th will be “Solomon & The Temple”. The story for August 2nd will be “Jonah”.

Attention 5th Graders New Transition Class Join us in the JYF room in the Family Life Center for our transition class for all 5th graders that will be in 6th grade this coming school year. This class will help the JYF 5th graders to prepare for their Promotion Sunday move to Chi Rho in August.

First -- Big thanks to the JYF and Youth who participated in our VBS song, “Everlasting God,” Sunday at 11:11 with the Praise Team. You were awesome! For those who didn’t know the plan for the kids to sing, please forgive me. I meant to send them home with a note on the last day of VBS. (Coincidentally, our main point at VBS on Thursday was, “God has the power to forgive!) Next time I’ll use the newsletter, too! Thinking ahead -- Children and Youth activities will be kicking off in September, so opportunities for Youth Rock, Youth Symphony and Kidz Rock are on the horizon. Youth Rock will open Celebration Sunday on September 13th, which is a combined service at 10:50. Then, after Fall Festival, we will have all three groups preparing Christmas music for our December programs. Additional opportunities may also be available on a request basis. To get involved, kids and parents can text me at 347-0938.
