English Classes Begin

February 22nd

6:00 pm

Weekly Monday & Wednesday KHCC 3rd Floor Classrooms

For more information please call the church office.

Pastor’s Class

The class will meet at 3:00 pm on the Sundays, February 28th, March 6th, and March 13th. All 6th graders are invited to attend. The purpose of this class is to get our young people ready to decide whether or not they wish to be baptized

at our combined worship service on Palm Sunday. Most of these 6th graders have been in church all of their

lives and already have a good understanding of Christian beliefs. Pastor’s class is an opportunity to bring

everything they have learned about their faith into focus and to help them understand the deeper meaning

of making their confession of faith and being baptized. During the weeks preceding Holy Week I also have

the chance to meet individually with adults who have never been baptized before and are now ready to take

that important step. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about being baptized -- child

or adult -- please let me know. — Dr. David Brice

STEWARDSHIP MOMENT

What is …

Sharing

Time, Talent and Treasure

Embracing and Encouraging a Lifestyle of Generosity

Working for the Lord

Accountability of Management of what God has given

Responsibility of God’s Gifts

Devotion Service to God and Common Good

Happiness

Integrating Faith and Life Principle of Reward

The T stands for Time, Talent and Treasure. Everything we have is a gift from God. God gave each one of us gifts for the purpose of serving Him and the world around us. Each person has something to give. That something might be giving money or time to a charity, visiting someone who is ill or in need of com-panionship, doing volunteer work, or being a teacher. Here is what Paul had to say in NIV, Romans 12:5-8:

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is lead-ership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheer-fully.

Please prayerfully consider these questions: What could I be doing to serve God? How should I be spending my life?

Thank You Note From Cameron Family

We hope everyone had fun at the various Mardi Gras parades this year. Next year Chi Rho will have our very own float in the Highland Parade, so please keep us in mind when you want to get rid of those beads!!! Bring them any time and we will store them in our Mardi Gras bead closet.

Message from Youth Department

Words cannot express how much we appreciate our church family during the recent loss

of our father, Milton Cameron. All the kind words, calls, cards, and prayers were such a

comfort to us. We are so blessed to have our church family during times like these.

Sincerely,

The Cameron Family
