    Heidi KettenRinG (Anna Leonowens) is thrilled to return to the Marriott Theatre for one of her favorite musicals of all time. Heidi has appeared in more than 20 shows here at The Marriott Theatre, including Cats (Grizabella), Hero (Jane), My Fair Lady (Eliza), Hairspray (PennyJeff nomination), Little Women (JoJeff nomination), and Funny Girl (FannyJeff nomination). Recent credits include Seven Brides... (Milly) at Maine State Music Theatre, The Merry Wives Of Windsor (Mistress Ford) at Chicago Shakespeare, To Master The Art (Jane) at The Broadway Play-house, and Oliver (NancyJeff nomination) at Drury Lane Oakbrook, Heidi originated the role of Nessa in Chicagos sit down production of Wicked and has also appeared at Northlight Theatre, Court Theatre, writers Theatre, Drury Lane Evergreen Park, Theatre At The

    Center, American Theatre Company, Peninsula Players, Goodspeed Opera, Ravinia, and has toured with Disneys Beauty And The Beast. She is the recipient of The Sarah Siddons Leading Lady Award, an After Dark Award, the Richard Kneeland Award, and six Jeff nomina-tions. Best known for his performances as Marius in The New 25th Anniversary Tour Production of Les Misrables and Thuy in the Toronto Revival of Miss Saigon. Other favorites include M. Other Marriott credits include White Christmas (Bob wallace), Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit), and Beauty and the Beast. Rod recently played Jeff Douglas in Brigadoon at the Goodman Theater and Felix in Drury Lanes The Games Afoot. His multiple Chicago credits include Next to Normal, Hairspray, Barefoot in the Park, and big The Musical (Jeff Award) at Drury Lane Oakbrook; A Midsummer Nights Dream and The People vs. Friar Laurence at Chicago Shakespeare; She Loves Me at writers Theater; and work with Court Theater, Light Opera works, Lyric Opera, and Theater at the Center. Rod appeared on Broadway, the national tour and Las vegas productions of Disneys The Lion King. He has also appeared in NBCs Chicago Fire.     AleXiS APOnte (Royal Child) is thrilled to be returning to the Marriott Theatre, where she made her professional debut in South Pacific performing the role of Ngana. She not only performs in musicals, but also helps to improve and make better her drama/arts program at Lincoln Junior High School in Skokie, Illinois. She is also an active member of an a cappella group that has performed in various venues and an annual national competition (Sing Strong), where she received an individual Judges Choice Award. Since performing for the first time as Tam in Miss Saigon at the North Shore Theatre of wilmette, at the age of five, she has performed in more than 20 musicals. Alexis is now 13 years old and has embraced the roles of many characters. Some of her favorites include Amaryllis in Music Man, Little Red in Into the Woods, and LeFou in Beauty and the Beast at the wilmette Childrens Theater.

    WhoS Who iN the CaStShe last appeared as Ensign Sue Jaeger in the Jeff-nominated production of South Pacific. Some favorite roles include: Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar; Antonia in Man of la Mancha; Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly!; Bargirl/Miss Chinatown in Miss Saigon; and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof. She has worked with The Paramount Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Light Opera works, Theater at the Center, and The Lookingglass Theatre Company. Audrey holds a B.F.A. in musical theatre from Roos-evelt University (CCPA), and trained at The Meisner Technique Studio in San Francisco. She is a proud member of Actors Equity.     w. BlAine BROwn (Guard, Uncle Thomas) makes his first appearance at the Marriott Theatre in The King & I. Last year, Blaine made his theatrical debut as Thuy in Miss Saigon, voted one of the top ten shows in Chicago, at the Paramount Theatre. As a member of the widely acclaimed Late Night Blue Jazz group of Elmhurst College, Blaine performed internationally, in the Chicago area, and at the nations second oldest jazz festival. He received the Outstanding Musician Award at the Greeley Jazz Festival in 2012 and performed in the world premiere of Final Fantasy Distant worlds with the Chicago Pops Orchestra, and recorded the Distant worlds II soundtrack for the hugely popular video game company Square Enix. For the 2013 holiday season he performed in the new A Christmas Carol PBS television special.

    nicHOlAS dAnteS (Understudy for Louis and Chulalongkorn) is so excited to have joined the cast of The King and I for his Marriott Theatre debut! He discovered his love for the stage at Talent Forum Studio, where he continues to train and perform in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance. Nicholas also loves to sing and act, and has performed in many musicals either at school or in commu-nity theatre. Big thanks to The Marriott Theatre for giving him this awesome opportunity, Gray Talent, for opening up new possibilities, to his family for always believing in him, and a special thanks to Shelly Page Hoselton and Richard Smith of Talent Forum Studio for teaching him to believe in himself.

She loves to sing and dance, and has sung solo on stage in a school talent show. She has been trained in voice, theater, ballet, and figure skating. Arts and crafts, particularly origami, are some of her other passions, and her art pieces have been selected for prizes and exhibitions.

    SAYiGA euGene PeABOdY (Guard, Simon Legree) from Stevensville, MI, debuted at Marriott Theatre as Mistoffolees in Cats in the spring. He began dancing at age 13, training in v.O.P. Style jazz with Nancy Myers Gitlin (a protg of Frank Hatchett), ballet with Rhoda Rabbers, and Taylor and Graham modern techniques with Theresa Cozzi Graziano. A recipient of the Gus Giordano Dance Scholar-ship, Eugene was a member of Giordano II and Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. She is one of the children in Oliveth Nazarene University and Hammacher Toys print and Tv commercial. She has modeled in a fashion runway for Gippers Formal wear and Mixxi G Jewelry. Hannah had her training from Actor, Model and Talent for Christ (AMTC) and from Chicago International Performing Arts Academy (IPAA). Hannah is intelligent and naturally born artist. She makes beautiful drawings, dances gracefully to beau-tiful music and loves telling stories. Being a part of The King and I is a fulfillment of her dream to be a princess and to sings songs of encouragement and hope.

Scott most recently appeared in Robert Falls production of Don Giovanni at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. After graduating from Northwestern with a degree in theatre, Scott has had the good fortune to work with Court Theatre, the Lyric Opera, Oracle Theatre, Silk Road Rising, Erasing the Distance, and vitalist Theatre, among others.     Yu SuZuKi (Royal Wife, Eliza) a native of Japan, received her B.F.A. in theatre arts from Northern Illinois University, where she studied under Randy Newsom. Her early training began at Faubourg School of Ballet in Hanover Park, IL, under watmora Casey and Avnun yakubov, and continued on at several studios in Japan. yu has danced with many different companies, including Radio City Christmas Spectacular as an original cast of first national arena tour, Madison Ballet, Elements Contemporary Ballet, and most recently with River North Dance Chicago.     RYAn t. nelSOn (Music Director) is the music director in residence for the School of Communication at Northwestern University where he coordinates all musical activities for the Theatre and Interpretation Center, teaches in the music theatre certificate program, and music directs and supervises several productions each year, including AMTP productions and the famed wAA-MU show. He is the resident music director at Chicagos Marriott Theatre, where he has music directed dozens of productions, including the world premieres of Hero, Now & Forever: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, and For the Boys. His work on A Chorus Line and The Light in the Piazza at the Marriott has been recognized with Jeff Award nominations for excellence in Chicago theatre. Most recently, Ryan conducted Stephen Sondheims Sunday in the Park with George at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, which won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Musical (2013). He has conducted and recorded with the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), the Rembrandt Chamber Players, and Ensemble Dal Niente. Nelson was formerly an assistant professor of Music in Northwestern Universitys Bienen School of Music. his master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees in conducting are from the University of North Texas, where he was a student of Eugene Migliaro Corporon.

Originally from New york, as a professional actor he first appeared at the Marriott Theatre in 1982 and eventually settled in Chicago. After more than 20 years on stage, he became the resident musical director for the Marriott Theatre in the 1990s, associate producer in 1992, and executive producer in 2000.     AndY Hite (Lead Artistic Director) began his affiliation with the Marriott Theatre as an actor in 2000. Two years later he joined the artistic team as assistant to the artistic director, and is now ecstatic to hold the position of artistic director in this great theatre. As artistic director he has had the pleasure to oversee 2008s critically acclaimed Les Misrables which won the Joseph Jefferson award for Best Musical Production. Other highlights include Footloose, Oliver, Into the Woods, Shenandoah, The Full Monty, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Hairspray, and Fiddler on the Roof all to audience and critical acclaim. Prior to joining the Marriott Theatre, Andy enjoyed an award winning acting career in Chicago and was fortunate to be able to work with companies such as Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre, Northlight Theatre, The Auditorium Theatre and, of course, the Marriott Theatre. Mr. Hite also teaches acting and audition workshops for musical theatre. His greatest accomplishments are seven year old twins Rowan and Sylvie, and wife Sasha.

    AAROn tHielen (Artistic Director) has long been an advocate for the creation of new musicals. Most recently he and Marc Robin co-created the world premiere of Now And Forever: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Aaron and Michael Mahler wrote the multiple Jeff Awardwinning musical HERO, which was produced this past spring at the Asolo Rep in Sarasota. Michael and Aaron are currently working on October Sky which is slated for the 2015 Marriott season. He also adapted the Twentieth Century Fox film For the Boys for the Marriott Theatre stage. He was also one of the creative forces in bringing the 2008 world premiere musical The Bowery Boys to the Marriott Theatre. He co-authored the award-winning All Night Strut, A Fascinatin Rhythm with Marc Robin. As artistic director, he most recently helmed Godspell, Cabaret, Dream-girls, 9 To 5, and White Christmas.

    tHOmAS m. RYAn (Resident Scenic Designer) Some favorite Marriott Theatre designs include Les Misrables; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Fiddler on the Roof; Chess; 1776; Brigadoon; Hello, Dolly!
