Many people equate hygiene with'cleanliness,' but hygiene is a broad term.It includes personal choices such as:
A daily shower or bath
Frequent washing of hands
Trimmed fingernails
Clean, fresh clothes.
Keeping the home and workspaceclean and tidy.

IMPROVE YOUR WELLBEING
Exercise regularly – even 15 minutes a day will makeyou feel better - a walk or even some stretches willhelp to improve your mental and physical wellbeing,as well as make you happy!
Have a balance diet - ensure you have a variety offruits, vegetables & wholegrain, high fibre breads orcereals.

Watching out for Germs
Germs are all around us and can spread from other people orsurfaces when you:
Touch your eyes, nose, and mouth withunwashed handsTouch body fluids such as urine, vomit, and salivaPrepare or eat food and drinks with unwashedhandsTouch a contaminated surface or objectsBlow your nose, cough, or sneeze into hands andthen touch other people’s hands or common objects
Key Times to Wash your Hands

How toWash yourHands
NOTE: REMOVE ALL JEWELRYAND WATCHES
1. Wet your hands with water andapply soap to your hands.
2. Rub your hands together for atleast 20 seconds (about the time ittakes to sing “Happy Birthday” once)
NOTE: Scrub your nails by rubbingthem against the palms of yourhands & use alcohol-based handsanitizers
3. Rinse your hands with water anddry with a paper towel.
How to use Hand SanitizerUSE AN ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZER THATCONTAINS AT LEAST 60% ALCOHOL.
Nappy Changing Procedures
Gather the supplies. Roll out fresh tissue paper or spray changing surfacewith antibacterial spray. Wash your hands. Put on disposable gloves & if possible a disposableapron. Never leave a child attended, keep one hand on them, or strap them in if possible.

4. Place the infant or toddler on his or her back. 5. Take off the dirty nappy.NOTE: Fold the nappy so that the mess is on the inside & setout of the way where the infant or toddler cannot reach it.
Nappy Changing Procedures
6. Clean the child’s nappy area with disposable wipes. Useone hand to hold their legs & one hand to wipe. Alwayswipe from front to back! 7. One hand can hold their feet and the other one can slipon the new nappy.8. Fasten the nappy (be sure it is not too tight) 9. Dispose of the dirty nappy, wipes, gloves and apron.10. Wash the infant’s or toddler’s hands and place him orher in a safe place while you wash your hands.
NOTE: Make sure the changing surface is clean and sanitizeafter changing.
