Absence Notes

Absence Notes • When your child is absent we request that you call the Main Office and then you must write a note and send it in with your child when they return to school.

Visitors to Walden Elementary

Upon visiting thebuilding:• Sign in/out• Provide photo

identification• Wear a visitor’s

badge at all times

Dismissal• Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m.

If you need to change dismissal procedures, it must be in writing.

In an emergency our Fax # is 778-7110.

Transportation• If your child attends Day

Care and needs bus transportation, you must fill out the request form and return it to school before the 1st Day.

Emergency Information

• Please provide us with 3 emergency contact numbers.

• Don’t forget to update your phone number with the main office should it change throughout the year.

• In an emergency you will be contacted by Connect-ed.

Lunch• Lunch Tickets can be

purchased from the Cafeteria today during lunch or during the school year before 10:00 a.m.

Applications for Free or Reduced Lunch

will be available in the Valley Central Viking Press and

from your child’s Kindergarten classroom teacher.

Code of Conduct/Plain Language Summary

• Code of Conduct/Plain Language Summary will be sent home with your child on the 1st Day of School.

• It covers procedures and issues related to student’s rights and responsibilities.

Student Photographs on the Website

• If you do not wish to have your child’s picture on our website, you must write a letter to the Principal stating this.

• A new letter must be sent every year.
