As a small group of dedicated Sandy Springs citizens sat around
Melanie and David Couchman’s kitchen table in 2008, there was no
way to suspect what the future might hold.
Now ten years later, over 60,000 children have been impacted by
Sandy Springs Education Force’s programs. Learning to love to read,
supported by mentors and tutors, encouraged by after-school pro-
grams and inspired to pursue STEAM careers, our children have
graduated high school and pursued college, vocations and military
futures they might not otherwise have ever considered possible. All of
our success is due to a very special formula: a unique combination of
relentlessly dedicated Board members; generous volunteers who do-
nate time, talent and financial help; a business and nonprofit commu-
nity that fully understand the importance of educating every child; and
a city council that provides unwavering support for its children. This
10th anniversary, we celebrate and honor the indominable spirit and
tireless efforts of you, our Sandy Springs community---for it is your
exceptional commitment to our students that has made our impact
possible.
Our Mission To create targeted programs that educate, inspire and prepare public school students in Sandy Springs for a competitive world
