1 PREFACEThis datasheet covers FLSmidth A/S Kilnloq gas analysis system with respect to technicaldata, installation, etc. The datasheet information must be used in conjunction with all
documents included in the complete system users manual
The whole analysis system is to be operated and maintained as described in the systemmanual supplied with system. If not, the efficiency and lifetime of the system will be
reduced. An alarm must always be corrected at once. Qualified and trained personnelmust perform the maintenance. FLSmidth A/S Gas Analysis Technology continuousimproved the product and reserve the right to modify the information contained in this
datasheet without notice.

4m). Default available length is 15 mEach additional meter will increase the systemresponse time with one second.
Between Probe and Probe cooling: Probe cooling should be placed as close to theKilnLoq probe as possible. (Customerinstallation)
Between probe and Air Utility: Recommended length of air hoses is 4 m.(Customer installation)

Installation of mating flange
The performance of the KilnLoq probe depends in a very high degree of the location andposition of the mating flange. The mating flange must be positioned thus the KilnLoqprobe is able to take a pure process gas sample with no interference from kiln sealingand the mechanical protection is as good as possible. The installation is different fromsite to site but below listed items should be followed.The mating flange should be installed:
At 45 to the kiln axis, as close as possible to the kiln seal thus the gas intake protrudes
past the kiln seal and leakage from the seal does not affect the measurement. Take carethat there is space to refractory.
In the kiln centre line, away from the affects of the raw material feeders and away from
the affects of any air blasters etc.
At an angle of approx. 0-10 , (0 is recommended) downwards towards the gas intake.See drawing EXD: Extraction device
Installation of Extraction DeviceThe Extraction Device must be positioned thus the bolt flange fits the mating flange. Thetwo adjustable support feet under the Extraction Device must be adjusted thus it is inhorizontal position along and across the vessel. The Extraction Device must now bebolted to the mating flange and fundament.
Installation of Probe CoolingSee layout drawings "KilnLoqV2: P&I Diagram" KilnLoq: System View and ProbeCooling
The Probe Cooling can be located at the same deck as the probe or it can be locatedat decks below or above the probe. The maximum lengths of the water pipes form theProbe Cooling to the probe is 30 m equivalent pipe length, including bending and angles.Maximum vertical distance between Probe Cooling and probe 10 m. The Probe Cooling
must be bolted to the foundation with 12mm expansion bolts or similar. There must be 1m free space above Probe Cooling in order to open water tank lid.All pipes is recommended to be galvanised steel pipes. Internal diameter must be similarto standard 1" Steel pipes.
Installation of Utility AirSee layout drawings "KilnLoqV2: P&I Diagram" KilnLoq: System View and Utility AirThe Utility Air must be located at the same deck as the probe. The length of piping
depends on actual system configuration i.e. the Utility Air must be installed with themaximum radius (see system layout drawing). The Utility Air must be bolted to thefoundation with 12mm expansion bolts or similar.
The instrument air supply must be connected to the union tagged AS1 on the UtilityAir.
Installation of heated sample gas hoseThe heated sample line is connected in the KilnLoq probe and has to be connected to the
GMU. The hose must be rolled out in its full length and the installed on a cable tray orsimilar. It must be weather protected and mechanical protected. The end with the power

cable is to be located in the GMU and fixed in the hose clamp.
Bending radius has to be greater than 250 mm.
