Children, infants through 6th grade, will spend the evening focusing on the true
meaning of Easter through games, crafts, story-time, snacks, and an “empty tomb” egg
hunt — while parents enjoy an evening out.
This is a great opportunity to reach out to friends and neighbors by inviting their
children to come and participate, while the adults go out for dinner or an evening
activity together, or for parents to have a special date night.
Register your child by e-mailing [email protected].
Registration due by noon on Tuesday, March 24.
To sign up to volunteer, e-mail [email protected].
Or come to the sign-up table in the East Alcove.

He did
it all for
me?
RHM stands for Romanian
Handicapped Ministries, a
ministry begun in 1998 by Jerry
Skinner, a member of Faith
Church. The mission of RHM is
to work with disabled children
and young adults in the city of
Constanta, on the lower Black
Sea coast of Romanian
Dubrogea. RHM and RHM-Ro
provide life skills education,
medical care, physical therapy,
social service support and
assistance, social activities,
and most of all—the love of
our Savior, Jesus Christ—to
over 70 persons including
disabled young adults, their
family members and
caretakers. RHM-Ro also
teaches in the city public
schools about the worth of
one human life in God’s eyes.
Join your Faith Church family for a tasty, filling
breakfast in the MPR on the morning of
Sunday, November 23. Then, we will worship
together with a special “One Service” at 10:30
a.m. celebrating all we have to be thankful for
in Christ — especially at this wonderful season
of the year. Childcare and classes will be
provided for infants through 3rd Grade and
Special Friends during the One Service.
Classrooms will open at 10:15 a.m.

affectionately by us as Dr.

She gives medical care to

their families, teaches basic

and has established a nicely

Liviu Marin, our Certified
Social Worker, came to the
staff of RHM-Ro in 2005. He
created an innovative school
program that addresses the
inherent value of personhood in
general, and of disabled persons
in particular.

The world is a difficult place for
people who are born with or
develop severe disabilities.
Even in the United States,
prejudice, fear, and a disregard
for the worth of someone who
is unable to contribute
according to social norms
has marginalized those who
suffer with disabilities.
American tolerance of and
assistance for the disabled is a
positive development. Much of
the world still lags behind and
still views those who suffer
with handicaps as
“irrecoverable.” The term
means beyond help and
was coined in Romania.
Romanian society has been
conditioned historically to
persecute and ignore
anyone with any disability.
Life can be brutal and cold
if you are a child or young
person in Romania with a
handicap—any handicap.

RHM Missions Project
During the month of
February, we will be
collecting craft items that can
be utilized by the ministry of
RHM in Romania. Items that
can be used include:
coloring books,
construction paper, ribbons,
paper plates,
small jars of paint,
glue sticks,
glue bottles,
any simple craft item. Just have your child bring
craft items to donate and put
them on the lowest shelf on
the cart outside your child’s
classroom.
KIDS @ FAITH Making disciples one child at a time
The Children’s Ministry
exists to partner with parents
as together we lay the
spiritual foundation where
real transformation takes
place in the lives of the
preschoolers and elementary
children who attend our
ministries at Faith Church.
Our purpose is for children
to experience a life-changing
relationship with Jesus Christ
and grow in that relationship
as reproducing disciples of
the Lord Jesus. We desire
that each child come to the
place where he or she
chooses to imitate the whole
life of Christ by being in
communion with God, in community with others, and
on mission with Christ.
